So I just was about to fall asleep, and then I feel something crawling on me. At first I turn over then I feel its on my back so then I jump up then I feel its on my chest so I swat at it trying to get whatever it is off. Then, I go up to turn a light on and I find this disgustingly huge spider lying right by my pillow. Brown, long and gross.get-attachment.aspx?uid=1.25304761&foldet
    I kinda murdered it. XD.

Now I checked all my sheets and kept freaking out because I felt shit crawling all over me! icon_redface.gif

Has this happened to anyone else? I feel very edgy. Not that I mind spiders its just the fact that it was in my bed. icon_confused.gif

I wish I didn't squish it so fast... I can't tell if it was a Brown Recluse or not. I don't even think it bit me. We'll see. I don't even think they live in PA. Ugh.

So much for a nice nights sleep. icon_sad.gif I need a spider killer! I used Mitch Albums "For One More Day" rofl. Ironic.

I'm like that sometimes, especially if I can't see it and get rid of it.

I never like to kill spiders, they eat things I hate more. Some eat mice.

Basic info on the Brown Recluse. I'd link directly to a picture, but that would probably be inconsiderate.

While there has been controversy about whether it's expanding into other geographic ranges, the dispute is over Florida and California. From the Entomology Department at Penn State "Although black widows can be found native in Pennsylvania, the brown recluse spiders must be introduced and cannot survive in Pennsylvania’s climate unless they remain inside heated structures."

My old house outside of Austin was infested with scorpions. I was bitten/stung three times. One even fell out of my dashboard and onto my leg while I was driving. Damn things are hard to exterminate, b/c they apparently don't clean themselves, which is how most other pests ingest pesticides.

Then, there was the time I opened the door leading to the garage, and a copper colored snake jumped straight up in the air in front of me. Guess I scared me as much as it scared me. Fortunately, it scurried away.

If spiders stay outside I don't bother them at all. Inside -- they're dead!

I was at a hotel once -- a decent hotel -- and thought I felt something crawling on the bed, then on me. I could have sworn it was something the size of a mouse. I jumped out of the bed, pulled the sheets off, but never found anything. I know I had trouble falling asleep in that bed the rest of my stay.

Well I'm positive it wasn't a black widow. The girls are kinda cool, once done mating with the guys the girls eat the guys head off. Hahah. Or so I've heard.

I do agree that spiders are awesome and eat things that are even nastier...but when its in my bed I won't even take a second guess. I'll kill it as fast as possible. Just like if I was in its web poking around it would most likely bite me, right?

When I was 18 a group of friends and I went camping at Enchanted Rock in central Texas. We went on a midnight exploration through some caves that form a VERY tight and narrow canal through the rock. There was 8 of us and only three flashlights. Anyway, once we got through the point of no return it became apparent that daddy long legs retreat into the caves to breed during the summer. There where literally half a dozen three foot wide breeding pits od these nasty little spiders. One of the guys I was with flicked one of them with his finger and it broke apart and hundreds just started scurrying everywhere. I had never been afraid of spiders but being in the cave I just freaked the fuck out. I went running/crawling through the cave trying to get out with no flashlight...screaming. When the rest of the group made it out the other side they found me sitting on the top of enchanted rock crying and shaking. To this day I can't be in the same room with a single daddy-long legs...dead or alive. My heart starts racing and I start sweating and shaking. Other bugs don't bother me so much.

See they wouldn't bother me cause they're fangs are not big enough to bite humans. But seeing that many at once...I would freak the fuck out also. That happened to my dad. He was downstairs in our weight room when he put down a weight on a spider's egg. Thousands of little black spiders covered his hand. He came running upstairs to scare me shitless. Was bad...Hah.icon_lol.gif
