I've lived in florida for over a decade now and I have been aplogizing for it ever since
Let's see ... we were the State that allowed Bush to get his claws on the White House
We were the State where every right to Life Loony camped outside of a poor braindead woman's hospital room and moaned how she was being murdered

And Now .... we have a three decade ban on gay adoption being called Unconstitutional (DUH!)
    by the Florida circuit court
and we have The State of Florida actively trying to reinstate the ban
Just when you think the ass of the country the last State to ban gay adoption
is coming into the "20th" century
they prove God has a real place for dumbasses

Why the Florida Gay Adoption Ban Is Immoral

Think of it this way. It could be worse, you could be in Texas which mostly spawned Bush or you could live here in Georgia where the loonies, which even Florida rejects, get elected to the General Assembly. The governor opposes allowing the sale of alcohol on Sunday because he's a Baptist, and the State School Superintendent is not opposed to allowing creationism to be taught in biology class.

I'm just glad we aren't South Carolina or Alabama.

When I read stuff like this, I'm so happy that I moved far, far away from the east coast and I sure wish the west would hurry up and secede!

The South tried it once and the New Englanders wouldn't allow it! Would you allow it this time?

(Cus, they'd like to go just as much as you want them gone!)

    You have warm weather though.

And if you're into Silver Daddies then Florida is the place to be!

This sounds like the kind of stuff that went in in QLD, Australia, and maybe still does. I recall a sister finding her brothers love letters from another guy who lived in the bush. She took these letters to the police, they were both arrested, charged, taken to court, and forbade fro communicating agin.

But then QLD is also Australia's Bible belt too.

Sydney is sin City and the best thing that ever come out of it, was the road to Melbourne.

People who are originally from Florida still feel the whole world is flat- Did this really surprise you??

I was in Palatka once in Northern Florida at a gas station and said to the owner "hey Gomer how far to the next town?" He said "how'd you know my name?" Enough said!

I think Georgia takes the cake. No alcohol sold on Sunday because of the governor, major budget cuts for education, and home to Sadie Fields from the Georgia Christian Alliance. She is one treat that no other state has.
