How goes it guys? So I've reached a pretty critical point in my fitness level and its time to change. I'm 6'3 and about 240 pounds, a pretty solid guy. My goal is to get down to about 210-215 within the next 6 months. I would be very happy with that weight. I grew up swimming so I hope to integrate that someway. My question for all of you fitness studs out there is how to I get started as far workouts, cardio and nutrition go? How should I divide my time between cardio and weight training and how often? What foods should I absolutely avoid, and what should I ad in my diet? I'm moving to London in May and I want to start my new life with a good body. So what kind of advice can you all offer me? And is there anyone out there who is willing to take me under their buff wing? haha. Thanks guys.

Take a gander at some of the beginner routines on line here and on some of the other sites
it will give you kind of a consensus of what you'll need to do and what your first few months will be like

Basically ... you're gonna need a threeday a week fullbody workout
cardio can be done on the off days
and if you like swimming get into the pool because that's a great calorie burner
you will want the calories going in to be less than what's being burned up by exercise
    which means ....
    deep six the fast foods
    very little alcohol
    nothing fried

there's plenty of advise out there
so get to work my man ... and good for you that you're getting started
