I spent about 90 minutes in a gay venue last night, the first time I've been in one for years, and the first time I've been surrounded by gay men; (other than RJ but that doesn't count) for years too.

From the moment I walked in, I had eyes on me, I still have the ability to notice, without showing I noticed at all.

But what got me was the age and quality of the men, who chatted me up, and who I could of taken home; I was truly flatted. There was one young guy who stood out to me, but I myself would never of even thought of chatting him up, just because he was in his 20s or looked it anyway, and he come up and talked with me

It's nice to know at my age, I still have it.icon_razz.gif

If I was to never go to a gay venue again. This would be a good experience, to go out onicon_biggrin.gif

    I'm truly flatted.

Dude... try posting your responses in Italian and let's see how you do. Wow, the judging and looking down on others has reached new heights here on RJ. This site is really starting to disappoint me.

You know the fact that one is a pure homosexual, natural selection has already decided, I'm not a breeder, and I'm content with that. But the family gen pool is well and truly safe.icon_wink.gif

PS. One could of said "flattered"!, But..... thats not how I say it.icon_idea.gificon_biggrin.gif

Good taste rings true again, hey Matey. It's no small wonder to see why you'd be the One they'd gravitate too, Pattison, because you are great. God knows why everyone is so obsessed with looks, but for people like you who just so happen to be very sexy, but also possess a multitude of favorable additions, to many men, It's a god send to find you walking into any gay venue.

You know with Spring almost on our doorstep agin, with the start of September ( the seasons start down here on the first of the month); So is my Birthday almost here too; with the coming of Spring and September.

I normally do a dinner party or go out for dinner, or go away for my B'day. But this year I decided I'de ask a few friends to go out to Commercial RD South Yarra, to go and see a drag show ; this involved a few people I work with too.

I was shocked to hear one of the young guys (21) invited himself. I had no issues with this. I had been working with him since he was 19. I nice tall good looking young boy. But I had always thought of him too be straight, and was worried he may get some unwanted attension.

Well he has come out now, and has made it clear he wants to set the agenda for my Birthday.

It's looking like pre dinner drinks at some gay friendly venue; if not gay.
then on to a gay friendly venue for dinner; if not gay.

Then onto a gay club to party. I'm truly looking forward to this night; it's been many years since I done such a thing, and it's all only 20 to 30 minutes drive up the freeway from my home too.

Of all the people here at RJ. I truly wish you could be here with a few others as well.

    Be blessed my brother.

I think it's great to hear you had a good time! It's so much better than reading how someone had a horrible experience and is writing off the scene for good.

I would have chatted to you too, you seem interesting.

The reasion it's been many years I've not been to a gay venue is because when I was about 25. I left the city to go back home to live in the bush; I worked as a lumberjack during that time.

On my trip back to the city to find a flat, as I was getting ready to move back to the city about 5 years latter. I met the man I've now been with for about 20 years. I did not go out on the gay scene much at all during our first 10 years, but the next time I did venture out. I meet my second husband of now 10 years this year; gees the last thing I need now is a 3rd husband; icon_lol.gif

But I do ponder will this new venture bring something new to my life?

Mate I would of been more than happy to of chartered with you too.

why Italian? I'm AMERICAN and the door is that way if the site is such a disappointment, DUDE. ------------->

Thus you speak what was once nothing more than a small German dialect, that come to the America's via Mother England. Thus a foreign language, as it was not the language of the Native Indians.icon_wink.gif

Oh it's a totally diffrent world to the one I live in. But it's a few weeks away, until my next outing, and I'm sure that will be for one night only. The young lad who is arranging it all, informed me last night, he has organised a few surprises for me too? I do await in anticipation.

One of the biggest surprises for me would be, to run into one of my old group from my 20s; this would be a wonderful experience.

But since I've had gay men attracted to me from the age of 5, and wanting too touch me, and the fucking good times I had in my 20s working for the gay community, my escapades are not limited, they are vast. I just live in a diffrent world now days, out in the burbs.icon_razz.gif

Hey Pattison - my advice is to quit this topic while you are still slightly ahead mate - there are some good guys responding but most are taking the piss - but then, most guys don't want to hear of others' exploits and adventures - cheers - another Aussie icon_smile.gif

But the lessons of life was too teach me from a young age, that all it took for me to have people look at me and have their attension was to just have a smile on my face, may it be wanted, or unwanted; I've always stood out, and been noticed.

Thanks for the advice mate. But no matter what. I'm still going to be ahead. I knew when I started this thread, it would attack by the acid tongues, and I'm playing with em tooicon_razz.gif

There is a joy and a security, a contentment in being yourself, and having your views, and not feeling all insecure because all do not agree with you. I'm not the one feeling threatend, or incecure', bitter. It's a wonderful place to be.

Spring is almost here. When I awaken on Tuesday, it will be the first day of Spring down hereicon_cool.gif. Oz is a wonderful place too be. I thank the powers that be, that I'm an Ausie living in Oz, in one of the worlds most livable Cities.

PS. During my time here at RJ, I've had many threads started and dedicated to me. To attack, insight hate, and so on. I have played with them too; the good old days.icon_razz.gif

Your post brings up a very important question: Is what Pattison did when he wrote flatted instead of flattered properly described as a grammar error? I'm not sure that using the wrong word (since flatted is a word) really counts a grammar error.

Pattison is a native of Australia, but in the home where he grew up, they spoke Italian. (Hence, the reference to Italian earlier in the thread.) English is not his first language and he still hasn't mastered it so you should be patient with him. Really, he does very well under the circumstances.

He's also a bit of a satirist. If I sometimes respond to him seriously, it's because some people here don't get that his posts are not to be taken at face value (or perhaps at any value).

Anyway, now that Pattison's been truly flatted, I'm hoping to see him get truly sharped, just so he doesn't get out of balance and lose the things that make him Pattison.

Are you suggesting that, perhaps, Pattison could never be flatted enough?

I take it back. You're quite right: he needs to be flatted incessantly, persistently, even unrelentingly.
