They have become entirely counterproductive, and maybe they were already!

Anyway, I still need help/advice. That trainer from high school? I did exactly what he wanted and he seems to have disappeared. I can't afford a trainer and don't know what I'm doing. There are many here who claim they've tried to help but their offers got lost in the shuffle of name-calling. If you still want to help I'd be happy to listen in a 1-on-1 setting. That's probably what I should have been doing all along.

My advice:

-Dont blame your failures on other people
-Dont blame your failures on ignorance.... learn
-Dont look for people on an internet forum to motivate you. You gotta find it within yourself to loose the weight but this may be the tricky part. Ask yourself what "real" motivation do you have to loose weight? Whats going to drive you to go for a run, or hit the weights besides simply wanting to look better? I found all the motivation I needed when I hit rock bottom a few years ago and I haven't looked back since.

Again?

I don't agree with the name calling, but there has been an abundance of advice that you have neglected and adamantly refused to take. I thought you were going to change when you re-appeared lately, but then I saw your recent post asking who can thank real jock for weight loss? Seriously? You had to ask that?

I really don't know what to tell you. So maybe I should ask a question: What have you done today to change your life? Don't ask what others can do for you, what have you done for yourself?

if you already plan on leaving then why stir up a discussion about it?

physical fitness is something you have to do yourself. jump on a treadmill, dog.

I want you to stay, your presence in the forums draws out the scum sucking trash of this site. We get to see the true color of people when someone really needs a hand. You've outed a lot of people. However, you could go back and sift through those threads and find a wealth of helpful information, I think answer most if not all of your present questions. Even those who were not nice to you, I would say sneakily insulting you like a lovable nerd I won't name, left you a lot of information even offered to calculate meal plans for you. Your leaving because of the assholes isn't totally unfounded, but you got wayyyy more help than not, I think. Don't go away mad...don't go away at all actually, real people are hard to find on this forum.

I really wanted to quote this entire post because I whole-heartedly believe it. A lot of people have been crass, many had no empathy, so if you left I wouldn't think less of you. If you aren't getting what you want out of here, then that's a problem. Many people have come through with some great information, but it has also been with truckloads of condescension. Best of luck in whatever decision you make.

Good. Be off with you!! I have read your postings for a while now. Over time you have cried and complained about being such a bloody fat arse.
(By the way, your profile says you joined this site in July? Rubbish! You have been on and off this site for a very long time!)
You have been given EXCELLENT advice on exercising and dieting, and some of these dolts have even coddled you with counceling in one form or the other.
You have done nothing but give every excuse in the world why you are still some huge fat arse! I mean look at you....you look bloody ridiculous!
What do you want?!? You pose questions, get qualified answers, yet you do nothing. All of this time that you have playing this game, you could have been in a gym losing that repulsive fat, and receiving the encouragement and self esteem boost you would have deserved.
-Keith

NB- Bloody hell...this is probably just another ploy of yours to get more emotional nutbag sympathy from these enablers here, so they can give you that "emotional hug" that you seem to need so much.

Well said, all these comments are spot on. I work out for myself and my own sake, everyone else be damned.

Yeah I kind of agree with everyone here....you have to want to want to loose weight!

And if your not getting the infor here your looking for then maybe you shouldn't be on "realjock" the "jock" means:
2. Informal. an athlete. straight out of the dictionary

If your looking for a form or online help with beginning physical fitness and such they do have some I know...YOu can keep track of your calories...have consultants review your results and give you advice...or you can shell out the money for a trainer...but HONESTY its a wast....Just go to your gym...OR even run around the block you live!

Good luck I guess but you gotta do what your gotta do...and crying about it on the internet to people you have no clue who they are I don't think is going to help you out too much..

You know OnTheWayToMe, we say to others, and now to you, that if you ask for help, ignore the posts that don't help. Not always possible, as some here seem to have spent their whole life sharpening their tongues instead of their minds and hearts.

GuiltyGear's post is bang on.

Stay. We'll support you, and have. Ironically, some of the most vicious suffer clinical depression. As well, any professional can tell you that emotional states have a lot to do with being overweight. Therein lies the hazard here on RJ, because some just live to kick others in the emotional balls, then behave like it's your fault for having reacted to their insults. Hmm...so why did they insult in the first place?

Have you checked out the Realjock Weightloss challenge 2009 link that we posted in the Hatred of fat topic by badmikeyt? Great bunch of guys.

What makes us laugh is that we don't think there's one sane person on the planet that hasn't gone through a period of being Eeyore ( who, by the way, I always found quite loveable)

a nutritionist should be able to help you, if you have health insurance or a medical plan see if they can refer you to a nutritionist, then come up with a plan for routine weekly exercise.

for the exercise plan check out this website http://www.hooah4health.com/

good luck, remember motivation, communication and dedication are the keys to success

motivate= find your motivation for wanting to lose weight

communicate= to your self how you are going to do it (talking to some one helps a lot, some one you can trust and will be there for you)

dedicate= it takes dedication (commitment) to stick to your plan, it's not going to be easy a long and painful process, there are no quick fixes, just long dedicated hard work

good luck

SISSIE? BRO? SOMEONE GET HIM BACK TO THE 90'S... those phrases feel very forced. It's as if someone is trying hard to be something he's not (:

Xactly, there are lot of advanced things you could do and pay a trainer to instruct you on, but for starters, convert some bomb ass beats onto the old I-pod and walk.

these forums are very interesting and the people in them tend to be as well. writing a forum thread on being done with the forums is ... um ... counterproductive ... it's passive-aggressive. just stick out with the bad and the good. you've got one life to lead and there is no need to be so serious, OP. smile a mile (yes, I'm corny ... sorry).
