This is more of a bitch then anything else. I'm curious... Does anyone else think that warm/hot tuna tastes like catfood smells?

Ugh. I sometimes like smoked tuna in olive oil, if it's just barely warm, but otherwise, DO NOT WANT.

I'm seriously thinking of switching to poached chicken breasts (Bring water to a boil, add breasts and return to a simmer. Simmer covered 7 minutes, turn off the heat and sit covered 8 minutes, drain), nutmeats and protein powder. I'll take fish oil tablets, and the cat food I can feed to my cat

I'm trying to strike a balance between good workout nutrition and actual, tasty food that's cooked, not just mixed (A flatmate used to eat fried 'roo mince mixed with frozen broccoli, olive oil, mayonnaise and scrambled eggs because 'It's a perfect nutritional mix and taste is for the weak!'. Mmmhm).

It's proving difficult, but I'm getting there... I'll let RJ know my conclusions

Tuna casserole was one of my favorite childhood dishes. Sometimes I even make Fettucini Alfredo with Tuna. I would make hot tuna pasta dishes more often, but my roommate hates hot tuna (we usually eat together).

I will eat tuna in any shape or form. It's the chicken of the sea... but better.

Tuna fish in the can is OK - with the right fixings....but a nice fresh tuna steak - or tuna sashimi......man - can't get any better than that.

I prefer Salmon, but tuna streaks are also good. Usually if I do have tuna it is out of a can - cat food

I used to live by a restaurant that made a Blackened Tuna Caesar Salad. OMG was that one of the most delicious things I ever tasted! I would order it every time I went there. It was just a fresh tuna steak coated with Cajun seasoning (mostly black pepper) and pan seared, not fried, then plopped on top of a caesar salad. Deeee-lish!

Tuna doesn't have to come out of a can.
