Disney said in a statement that it would pay a combination of about 60 percent cash and 40 percent stock to acquire Marvel, which has a stable of some 5,000 characters that includes the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor...

As a big Marvel fan of the comics and film, I am very worried about Disney in control of these characters on the screen.

I'm a Marvel fan from way back in the day. I was worried about this acquisition until I read this article:

I forgot that Disney owns Pixar as well. That means fantastically animated Marvel Superhero movies!!!

Yes I read about this as well. I'm going to reserve my opinion for a later time but since Time Warner own DC comics and now Disney owns Marvel comics it will be interesting to see how the two compete.
I'm wondering how Disney may take the edge off Marvel and their movies but someone told me Disney also owns or was a part of Kill Bill (I THINK that was it but not sure). Or it was another bloody movie like that. If I can remember for sure I'll add it in a post but it was a bloody kind of movie like that and if they produce that then they won't really take the edge off so to speak.
    However, only time will tell
I do think they bought it for less than it was worth. And I thought it weird that the X-Men animated cartoon from the '90's was FINALLY brought to dvd and Disney was responsible for that. Now I know why.
