I am headed out of town this weekend for a much needed break and I am looking for suggestions for some fun things to do. The plan is to spend Saturday night in Toronto and Sunday night in Buffalo.

So, if you have just one day and night in Toronto what is the one thing a person must do??

Anyone with advice in Buffalo...I will take that as well.

(No offense to anyone) but skip Buffalo. Go to Niagara on the Lake or Niagara falls or someplace else.

As for Toronto, there's just so MUCH to do! Go To Chinatown, go to Bloor and Yonge (those are streeets), go to Queen Street East, go to Kensington Market, the CN tower....just walk around. It's a really neat city.

Thanks for the advice! Funny thing is we might have to skip Toronto now because some of the people going do not have their passports! There are a few of us that still might try and make it into Canada.

I guess if we have to settle for Buffalo, we will make the most of it. Just kidding...I have never been there before, so I am actually really excited!

***Change of plans....looks like it will only be Buffalo this weekend. I have never visited Niagra Falls, so that I am excited for that. Anybody know of some fun things to do in Buffalo??

It's to bad you are not doing Toronto, it is a really great city and has so much to offer. As for Buffalo do the falls of course, (though the Canadian side has more to offer and boasts the better view) that sounds like it is not an option for you. My only advice would be to skip the aquarium as I was underwhelmed.
    Have an amazing weekend!

I suggest you save the money and postpone the trip to toronto and buffalo until your friends get your passport if you definitely have to travel with them. Even if you just want to see the Niagara Falls from the Buffalo side, you better off save the money for the next trip. I don't know anyone would just visit Buffalo, its not a place for tourists. If you want to get away, consider Chicago, a beautiful and charming city to visit, If Chicago is too far and you want to hang out with your friends, then just have a BBQ at your backyard.
