Rock Music and the people who love it!

It is a beautiful 78 degree day here in NC with the crisp fall air already creeping in and I love it. I rolled the windows down and slid the sunroof back in my little lowrider and just felt like cranking up some AC/DC which is an all time favorite group of mine.

Purpose of this forum is to share rock bands that you love and share some good music between friends. Also it may surprise people of what we actually like and listen to. I find people shocked to find out I like bands like AC/DC, Steve Miller Band, Bad Company, Skynard, Queen (but thats a given lol), Metallica, Guns n' Roses, Van Halen, Def Leopard, and many many more. I listen to various music types but wanted to do an all rock tribute so, KEEP IT ROCK!

I tend to listen to horribly pretentious music.
But there is some rock thrown into the mix....
Gay Beast - Mama, Wrap My Coffin In the A.I.D.S. Quilt Cuz It's Cold in Hell
Wolfango - Annalisa

etc. etc.

The Heart triumverate (sp) of Barracuda, Magic Man, and Crazy On You is probably on my heaviest rotation of songs played in the car. Chicks who can rock and Ive seen them a couple times in the last 5 years and they are better than ever right now. No one can match Ann's pipes

I like your style, most of it anyway lol. Nice to see that rock still has some peoples hearts!

Metallica has a song called Breadfan, if I am not mistaken, and it is great for pulling up to the gym!

Not a huge Metallica fan but do like some of there stuff.

What is disappointing is that there are so little gay clubs to go out to that will play rock music. Very few and far between in my experience. Way back when the leather bar The Lure was still open in NYC there was a DJ on one of the nights that used to throw in some heavy rock stuff

It would be funny playing Led Zeps "Whole Lotta Love" and watch the queens scatter in horror...lol

The best thing is when innovative DJ's will remix and rework some of these classics and create mindblowing dance numbers that gets everyone going!

You should check out some dance music that is not based on the "four on the floor" disco beat...rather music based off a rock or funk beat, eg: breakbeat, drum and bass, midtempo breaks, hip hop, dub/dubstep.

There is a lot of amazing intelligent dance music out these days, but you'll almost never find it in clubs (gay or straight).

Oh my god...I was lucky enough to see Van Halen in 1984 with DLR fronting them...in their heyday. Great times. AC/DC is here in KC in October...would love to see it. Saw Guns n Roses open for Aerosmith all the way back in 1988...one of the best opening acts by far I've ever seen. Freddy Mercury was underappreciated back in the day....one of the best rock voices ever...Fat Bottom Girls is made for cranking up the car radio.

There's not enough rock anymore. I guess there's not a radio niche for it...only on satellite. Don't laugh, but I saw Pat Benatar Sat night and she kicked ass. Still.
