Here for a tennis tournament and would like to know of a great place for dinner (fun, not stuffy, gay or gay friendly preferred, any type of cuisine except for THAI because we had that last night. We are in Decatur actually, close to Piedmont and don't feel like travelling too far. This is for tonight.

Just think of your favorite neighborhood place!

    Tnanks guys!!!!

    Welcome to town!

http://www.cowtippersatlanta.com/ - If you're near Piedmont, this shouldn't be hard for you to get to. It's one of the long-standing gay/gay-friendly places in town.

EDIT: They have indoor & outdoor seating, but keep in mind that this is Friday night, so you may want to call ahead.

    Fogo de Chao
3101 Piedmont Rd., Atlanta, Georgia 30305

Not in Decatur, but worth the drive up Piedmont. On the right once you're past Pharr Road. Across from the Rolls dealer.

FYI, this is a "brazilian steakhouse" -- very good, and all-you-can-eat meat. However, it's also a $35+/person meal (before drinks, etc.), and it's not gay-oriented in any way.

    Cowtippers on Piedmont
    Einstein's or Joe's on Juniper http://www.metrocafes.com/
Roxx at 1824 Cheshire Bridge Rd., 30324

Good luck in The Peach tournament. I haven't done that since 1998.

I would have to echo Einstein's or Joe's. They are just a few doors down from eachother and owned by the same company. Joe's is a little more gay - and much more casual. Einstein's is "nicer" and higher quality food -- but less fun (to me anyway). Both are great and have a $6 martini menu.

Thanks for the tips guys....I have been playing so much haven't gone out yet...but tomorrow night I am going to use some of those suggestions.

We went to a place called "Top Spice" tonight...I think it was called that. Great Thai food...but tomorrow is fun night.

FYI, Einstens and Joe's on Juniper are part of the same group that owns Cowtippers (and I think they all have that $6 martini menu!). I would have suggested them too, but they're further away from the area Silverfox mentioned.

Also FYI... If you were at Top Spice, you were practically across the street from Cowtippers.

Not to steal the thread, but I'll be in Atlanta in October. Any gay/gay-friendly places I shouldn't miss?
