I think it's pretty much common sense that to lose weight it takes a combination of exercise and diet.

The simple solution to the problem that article discusses is to just not eat crap that is going to negate your workout.

By-the-way, not trying to sound high and mighty, I've noticed a lot of times in the forums people confuse the words "lose" and "loose."

Lose is the opposite of win or gain.

Loose is the opposite of secure or tight.

Sorry. I have just seen "loose" misused too many times.

I read this- yes eating right is ver,. very important but only half of the equation.

Exercise does you a world of good that nutrition doesn't touch and vice versa.

I chalk this article up with their yearly examinations onthe 'historical basis' of Christianity.

Journalists. There are good ones and bad ones. Watch a report on something about what you do. Then you'll take with a grain of salt what they say about all of things you don't do, but think they are knowledgeable about.

I read this when it was the cover story about a month ago. I thought it was incredibly negligent journalism. Do not tell Americans to avoid the gym because some stupid people go to Starbucks afterwards.

if someone has the motivation to workout religiously then they should have the self control to monitor their diets.

this article causes more harm than good and is merely some person bitching about not getting done what they want done...

diet, exercise, CHANGING THE PROGRAM, are all factors in losing weight
