New "HORROR movie" topic: the Cross-dressing Killers !!!

In many "Slasher" films, part of that sub-genre's paradigm/formula is to fool the audience through the use of red-herrings & guilty suspects. There are the few horror films that have the occasional surprise of tricking the audience w/ this sleight of hand move.

Here are a few movies that contain these:

    1) PSYCHO (1959)

    Photobucket

    2) CHERRY FALLS (2000)

    3) Dressed To Kill (1980)

    Photobucket

    4) A BLADE IN THE DARK (Italian - 1982)

Ever seen any of these (Well, besides Psycho...!)

Or, any to add to this list?

No, but have you ever seen the t.v. show, Friday the 13th? It was a show about antique owners trying to retrieve possessed items after a competitor made deals with Lucifer to make his antiques one of a kind.

In a particular episode, the gang are tracking a haunted necklace that gives the wearer whatever he desires if he kills a person first. After a string of murders leads them to a record store, they find that a young employee there who was very unattractive quit abruptly and took a new job working with a hot pop star, Angelica, played by, Vanity. When they track him down, he's not ugly anymore, but a very tall handsome blond although a tad androgynous...like an anime character. After discovering a shrine to the singer in his apartment, they figure what he really wants is to be with her sexually. He later uses the necklace to kill the singer's manager/boyfriend and wishes her to want him. When she comes over dressed in a black nightie to do the deed, he holds her and says he can't do it.
She says, "Don't you want me?" and he says, "No, I want to be you."
He uses the necklace to dissolve her into himself and becomes her. The object hunters figure him out at a concert. When he/she bends forward to touch adoring fans, one of the gang snatches the necklace off.

The following scene is one of the best and horrific I've ever seen on a television horror show. He keeps singing not knowing, but of course his voice changes abruptly and he gruesomely grows into a man in front of everyone. He sees his reflection in a mirrored wall on stage, stumbles backward, and falls into a pit of hot stage lights. I gotta say, the whole scene was on a par with Carrie's famous humiliation.

I was gonna actually denote SLEEPAWAY CAMP as a non-lister. LOL I guess that ending constitutes as a "cross dresser" - but that ones very well known on this sites horror posts.
