Anyone plan to see her? I still don't have a ticket but I'm hoping to catch her in NYC.

From her X Tour: although her US shows will be at smaller venues than what she's used to overseas, I have no doubt that she'll put on an incredible show!

I'm seeing her Columbus Day at the Hammerstein in NYC.

I saw her X tour in London at 02, and saw part of Showgirl Homecoming in Manchester. I was at the show she had to stop due to her and half the crew having the flu.

I'm seeing her in NYC, Oct 12. While I'm not a massive fan, she does put on a good show and I think it will be fun.

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn about so-ridiculously-over-the-top-a-blind-twink-with-down syndrome-would-get-it visual references to commonplace phrases.

This is amazing! I've gone to Europe to see Kylie twice, and her shows were beyond incredible. I can't wait to see her in SF and NYC! It's a shame the U.S. has such bad musical taste that we remain just about the only country in the world that doesn't recognize how fantastic Kylie is. (For those who aren't aware, she's worshiped virtually everywhere else.) Only in the U.S. have I ever mentioned her as my favorite artist, only to get the response, "Kylie who?" (At least here in SF she tends to get a fair bit of play at most of the better gay bars, which is a nice change from the endless drudgery of Rihanna, Beyonce, MJB, Britney, GaGa, Madonna and the like. Anything less than two Kylie tracks an hour, at a bare minimum, is simply unacceptable, as I'm always reminding the DJ's. lol)

Hopefully this tour will help boost America's awareness, although I still fear this country is too dominated by R&B and Hip Hop (i.e., crap) to really appreciate her music. Kylie's core fans will certainly have a blast nonetheless, though!

Sorry. Don't understand the fuss over her....she lost me with the cheesy locomotion remake in something like 1988.
Just my own preference. I hope all of you going have a great time!

Well she changed a lot since then, believe me...icon_smile.gif For the first few albums she didn`t really have any say over the songs.

And I believe she is one of those artists that is at her best when performing on stage. Most of her albums were just OK to me but her tours in the past 10 years are all mind-blowingly good (and very VERY gay, seriously. If you have`t seen it you are missing out). Even Madonna & Beyonce had been taking notes and use some of the elements in her concerts on their own shows. I heard the US tour is gonna be a combination of her past tours since FEVER2002, with a few new twist throw in there.

She is also recording new materials in the last couple of days so me might get a new album in 2010.

I wish Kylie became a lasting hit maker in the States, she deserved too. But it's true that America is dominated by Hip Hop and Alternative Rock. Not that I dislike those genres but I guess my pop taste tends to be more European. Plus there's not a pop act in the States who can sing well live, dance their butts off and have an adventurous stage setup such as Kylie!

I'm seeing her in Toronto on 9 October. Can't wait!

I lived in the UK for years and never got to see her--shows at huge venues would sell out in mere minutes. I have friends in the UK who actually bought tickets for shows in places like Budapest or Paris where they at least had a CHANCE of getting tickets.

just bought tix for me and my bf for the tuesday show at hammerstien in nyc. YAY! never saw her live before -- she'll never appear at this type of small venue again. it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and we never go to cool stuff like this, so i said let's do it. ticket price was very reasonable too.icon_cool.gif

i heard that at one of her shows this week the sound failed, so she just had a big sing along that's what talent is all about. Another great Australian entertainer

Not seeing her in the US as I'm in Ireland, but have seen both the Showgirl tours and the X tour. She's a great live performer, while she's not the best singer in the world she is quite a competent live vocalist and her shows are a HUGE amount of fun. I hope this show gets a DVD release as it mashes up all the best elements of her past shows. Basically, i love her!
