Iv'ed watch this board go from kind of "real" jock to so far from, it's not funny.

It's not bothering me, but, I was just pondering it. I understand, that as a viewer, I can meander along to wherever, whenever it suits me.

It seems like, even done as well as this board, which arguably is very well done, and informative, it descends to the lowest common denominator along the lines of bigmuscle.com or manhunt.net.

5'10' and 130, or 6' and 400, is about as far from a "real" jock as you can go, and worrying about some things that get talked about here...sometimes...it's laughable...in fact, often.

The laziness of some folks (zero research) always amazes me.

That's all very tragic, seeing how hard the folks worked on this board must have.

    Edit:
Seconds after I wrote this, some creep came along saying "wanna see my cock?"

    Whatever happened to decorum?

chucky i'm just wondering. are you saying that only people who have achieved an extreme level of fitness should be part of this site? or are you cool with people whoare trying to get in shape being here as well?

as far as the boards go. ya sometimes they go off topic, fairly wuickly. but the fact that there are so many different areas of discussion is what makes this site so great. there are extremely valid points made fairly often, and ya, some people write stupid shit sometimes, but that happens. and that's when YOU strive and get to go on one of your signature rants.

there really aren't that many "sexy" board topics to make it into that big of an issue as far as i'm concerned. and besides, most of them are ocntained in the, "sex and relationship" section. thouhg i'm thinking bout posting something about canadian tax law in there right below the questions about the herp. seems an appropriate place to put it.

    Chucky,

If it wasnt for all the unfit non jocks and pic less and face less and guys that are not out, what the hell would you have to talk about?

I mean really, think about it. You'd be bored silly.

As a relative "newcomer" and as a former "400+ lbs'er", I find this site to be a real breath of fresh air from many of the porn and hook up sites posing as "informational" sites. The topics and workout plans are EXCEPTIONAL information sources. The Forums are also great places because they offer a wide variety of perspectives and further indicate just how "normal" we all really are, as humans. We may be gay, bi, straight, trans, asexual, intersexed or some other, but we all get to share opinions and information, or ask the questions that you aren't comfortable doing with anyone else, or just vent and rant over some outrage in your life. RJ is a virtual community of "Real People". We aren't all bodybuilders, or runners, or anything else. Nor are we all into organized sports or in perfect prime physical conditioning, with a detailed spreadsheet of our caloric intake and exercise routines, (not picking at anyone). We all strive to be in better shape than we currently are, and we want to get there using the basics of nutrition and exercise, as well as asking the right questions to gain some insite into issues that may have a unique "gay slant".
I believe we are have all been guilty of "wandering off topic", but then again, if a topic is important to you and is affecting your "quality of life", won't it eventually have an impact on your "fitness"? What doesn't affect your quality of life? Politics, money, family, friends, sex, dating, education, employment, nutrition, exercise, sports, emotions, fashion, technology, etc? I personally don't care about who wins an award or who is wearing what to some party, but it may matter to someone else, so let them talk...we are all free to choose what we participate in.

I'll be the first to say I truly enjoy "Realjock" and also believe it is different than most sites we have seen (or been aware of) online. I hope others pop up that also are quality sites.

I think Chucky comments just reflect a degree of frustration over the variation of topics (some which may be perceived as "less than athletically focused"). I am neutral on this as I can see where all kinds (as this part of the forum "All Things Gay" is sectioned) should be placed. It does get a little winded at times..lol

What bothers me (and it just happened) is someone who claims to be in a "monogamous relationship" sending me a link to his private pics (without previous conversation) and they are full of naked shots. The person in this case lives a half a continent away. Whats the purpose (and I didn't think he was very attractive either).icon_mad.gif

These forums have indeed gone to hell in a handbag. There are too many new threads created each day and then swiftly lost in the avalanche of still more repetitiously trite postings, more often than not by the same little handful of members who have their idées fixes and need to keep remind everyone else of their personal obsessions – like that spell-bindingly ravishing dude that pushes steroïdes as the magic cure all for all things gay. :^) It's break time; woot! woot!
