i was so gonna get my apartment set up this week before i have to go out of town again... it so didn't happen. LOL when you're tired and just not feeling it, how do you find the motivation to hunker down and do whatever needs doing?? generally i don't have this problem so much, but lately i just can't seem to be bothered to do anything but veg.

Dancer, start with doing one small thing, like maybe hang a picture. If you're really not motivated to find a hammer and nail, maybe the previous renters left a hanger or nail in the wall.....hang it there and then move it later. That might motivate you....small steps and before it, you're done!

I make a plan and then lists based on the plan and assign time to each task. This helps me since I can be a lethargic, lazy bull. icon_confused.gif

Just do it. Each thing you position, each picture you hang, it will make you feel better.

If I think I need to do something, I think about what is essential and what isn't. For example, you said you have to set up your apartment, but that's huge. You probably need to get a plate, fork, spoon, and glass so you can eat, but you don't need to organize the entire kitchen. Little by little, you'll get it all done, and whatever never seems to get done probably isn't very important to you, so this move might be a good opportunity to purge those things from your life.

Tackling a big chore sometimes has to be done in baby steps. I usually choose one baby step towards finishing the project and promise myself if I do it, then I can go and play.

    If I don't do it, I don't play.

I tend to be a procrastinator too. It does suck. I bought a book on it once thinking it would help (It was called "How To Get Off Your Buts") but I never quite got around to reading it icon_eek.gif

Think about the positives of getting the place set up and how it will look.....
or more, the negatives of not getting it done.

When I'm not inspired to do something, sometimes I evaluate the negatives of not doing it at all and thats a motivator.....
