anyone who believes in these 9-11 conspiracy theories should have their heads examined....tell them to first start by going to talk to the people who actually went through this ordeal and saw firsthand the planes crashing into the building

    Complete and utter bullshit.

Only in a country where millions of people would feel comfortable with Sarah Palin in the White House could enough idiots exist to believe shit like this. It's an affront to the thousands of people who died and to the millions of people whose lives were forever changed by that horrible day.

The insanely irresponsible thing about the 9/11 conspiracy theorists is that many of them base their (lack of) judgment on watching newsreels of the twin towers on that day. For one thing, that shows a complete lack of disregard for actual evidence. For another, most such people have NO F*CKING ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE AT ALL!?!?! I have no reason at all to believe it was caused by anyone other than the terrorists.

Wait? 9/11 wasn't filmed in the same studio lot as the moon landing? I'm shocked! icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, I'm pretty sick of these conspiracy theorists. All of their theories have been debunked, yet they refuse to believe. Bookmark these and pass it along whenever you encounter an internet fuckwad.

Whether you believe it was the strong arm of Big Brother, or Al Qaeda - one thing is for certain.. Without extremist religious fundamentalism (and the intellectual high treason it permits) these attacks would have never happened, and thousands of our American brothers and sisters would still be among us today. May they never be forgotten.

While I'm certainly not a conspiracy theorist, I think it's blitheringly ignorant to accept things as they are handed to me. I'd be willing to bet a decent sum that there is more information out there concerning the attack than the general public has knowledge of. Whether or not it was enough to predict or prevent 9/11 is debatable at best, but the debate will be as inevitable as the debates over the USS Maine, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the sinking of the Lusitania, and other such events that provoke major conflicts.

You are correct. A good and luckily minor example of that from just the other day is the Christian nut job who hijacked a plane in Mexico because God supposedly told him to alert Calderon of an earthquake?!?!

As much as I despise the Bush II Administration for all they did to royally fuck this country, I cannot comprehend that they knew something was coming and allowed to happen to gain temporary political advantage. That would be truly monstrous behavior by a whole lot of people acting together, and it's frankly inconceivable.

I do maintain that they SHOULD have known, and were too stupid/arrogant/myopic to read the signs that were apparently right in front of them...

Yes, there was a conspiracy. I believe it involved 19 hijackers, Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden and parts of the Taliban.

I used to question the official story until I was saw this documentary:

    New York by Ric Burns

In the last episodes, they interview the architects who designed the WTC and gave an in-depth presentation of how the towers were constructed.

In short, the designers never considered what might happen to the structures if two large jetliners loaded with fuel were to slam into them. They also didn't consider that the floors and reams of paper used by companies within the buildings might act as a fuel for a fire.

The entire weight of both buildings resided in the exo-skeleton.

Unfortunately, the buildings were designed with weaknesses which were exploited when the terrorists attacked.

I've tried to explain these facts to 9-11 conspiracy theorists but they will have none of it.

The truth is somewhere in between.

Sorry, but the whole story about the passport of Mohamed Atta being found on the first day on the collapse, in the wreckage.... I smell bulls*it.

In any case, RIP to all the victims, that's what matters.

I watched about 20 minutes of this video. To its credit, it lacked the hysteria and hyperbole of the typical Alex Jones rant. It makes some interesting points and observations.

I did also spend some time browsing through this 9/11 myth buster site (I've seen similar PBS documentaries, as well):
    http://www.debunking911.com/

RuggerATX's comment probably hits the nail on the head. It'll probably take decades for the full story to emerge.

911 being a big bro conspiracy isn't really far fetched. However I don't believe the conspiracy theories regarding the 911 attacks. Obviously there is going to be facts held from public just like any incident of similar magnitude.

But for all you guys to say ppl who believe it are totally crazy and insane is not realistic. Why? what have we done now that all of a sudden we are as a race beyond that kind of cruelty for personal gain.

Those guys with the theories are thinking.. they are not stupid. We would like to go on our lives and hope everything is the way they say it is, but you don't have to be a genius to realize that it clearly isn't so. No government or public institution where money and power is involved is immune to that.

I have no love for religion or religious ppl, and I certainly hate extremists, but don't ever imagine that we haven't done anything to provoke that kind of retaliation. If i had the time to sit here and explain all the corrupt ties the US has had with the east since along time ago. most Americans dont realize how far back that goes. How many wrong and self centered decisions the US has made in regards to that part of the world, is still not fully recognized.
Many countries in the middle east would have been ion much better shape if it wasn't for US agenda. And i dont want to hear any one of you to come on here and tell me that the intentions have been good, and that these have just been mistakes. Non of that.

And the past is going to come and hunt us for some time to come...The USA has done a lot of good in the world, but that should be our duty, no rewards there. You do a good deed because you want to do the right thing not to get awarded for it.

And as for all the bad things we have done in our past... lest just say it wont all just disappear in a moments notice.

From me, with at most love for the USA.

    Tribler,

Yes, I heard that too. This guy name Gonzales, expose a thoery about a some Jew who plan the whole thing. None of the Jew come to work that day and only non Jew was kill during the tragedy. Gonzales latter on become a Muslim. Tha hatred USA latter on have an excuse to destroy innocent Muslim country like Afghanistan and Iraq.

BTW, there also therory that America is responsible for the Asian Tsunami that kill 250,000 people by planting a nuclear bom explosion in the sea bed off Indonesia. America isalso the culprit behind Bali bombing because the whole thing is to well planned to be organize by Indonesian.

Those guy who kill Westerner in Iraq is infact American in a mask. The reason is because those guys appeard too fat and well fed to be Iraqi.

The report on the cause of the collapse of the towers isn't theoretical, it's science. Explained, explained, explained. Just because one doesn't like an explanation doesn't make it untrue.

To insinuate that anyone had ever planned for fully-fueled jumbo jets to crash into buildings at 500+ MPH is ludicrous. While I understand that it's hard to fathom anyone doing so, the fact of the matter is, they did. 3 of them. I think it's a miracle of modern engineering that the buildings didn't fall immediately.

there's enough blame to go around i'm sure

not to be forgotten from the blame list:

    our intelligence community
    our greedy citizens
employees at the dmv who gave these people driving licenses and so on and so on.

there's lots of blame to be apportioned...

jprichva saidConspiracy theories stem from the same impulse as religion:
the attempt to make sense of something dark and complex by assuming a secret, powerful agent.

Odd that we can scoff at one but we're supposed to respect the other.

This quote and the remark about the tin hat sales - AMAZING!

It's amazing that I actually agree with you on not one but TWO of your posts! And the last one made me LOL! icon_biggrin.gif
