The SORORITY ROW remake turned out to be a damn good/fun & enjoyable slasher flick! Though, there are obvious similarities to the decade old I Know What You Did Last Summer - it rose above that one by far.

The sorority girls, while VERY bitchy, did supply a good dose of comedy from their bantering & snippy comments among one another. Granted, this does also mean some of the girls don't supply sympathy at their demise, but there are a couple girls in here that you do care for. I was surprised at how the "potty mouths" these girls all had....On the opposite spectrum from that said comedy, the thrills & jumps are APLENTY! The director here has GREAT use of knowledge & timing for delivering many great executed set-ups, & this movie unfolds at a breakneck pace. I, for one, haven't jumped outta my seat in a 'fun' movie this much. (That Damn "juiced up" Tire Iron made for a great weapon) And whats great about this - this ISN'T even a "gimmick" film - it doesn't need 3D or any of that crap to make the scares WORK! It's just a simple slasher story well done.

For me, another welcomed "old school" feel was the amount of T&A in this flick!

I was surprised at the gore (no CGI I spotted folks!) , the "body count" delivered, & at times ruthless for a hollywood big budget slasher. The "reveal" wasn't much to be desired, as it was a head scratcher, but that did NOT take away from the first 80 minutes of the film!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, I was on the fence about this one, especially since I am over horror remakes, but I must admit I am looking forward to the "Nightmare On Elm Street" film coming out soon.

I actually enjoyed it as well! I thought it would be just a decent movie, but I found it legit. I am looking forward for Hostel 3 now!

Hahaha I saw it in a hall full of freshmen. The suspense was killing the girls. I enjoyed it icon_smile.gif
