What is the most horrifying movie moment of yours?

I can't even remember what happened in the movie, but when I first saw "The People Under the Stairs," I sort of yelped at one part and I swear I made the entire theater laugh out loud at how startled I was. I was there with these two guys who couldn't wait to tell all our friends what a pussy I was.

The creepiest moment I've seen in a movie was at the end of "Angel Heart" when the little kid all of a sudden had Satan's eyes and he pointed and smiled at Mickey Rourke.

Laugh all you want, but when the Beast thing came roaring out of the closet at the end of the first Poltergeist movie, I jumped out of my seat.

I went on this thing with some friends and Nearly had a heart attack. When it made it to the top I could not stop screaming "nooo!!! please get me the fuck off!! I changed my mind", but it clearly was to late lol. I will never again go on those free fall rides(waaay to intense for me)

Is this the "plug-in", AC electirc version of a giant vibrator?

Silence of the Lambs...take your pick of horrifying moments....in the dark in the basement as he is going after Jodi Foster character with the "night vision glasses", or when Lecter escapes from his private cell as an impostor for the injured and mauled cop that they are putting in the ambulance..thinking he had his face eaten off...the dead cop that was hung in his cage/cell as if he were an "angel"....personally..this is one of, if not my most horrifying movie....I had to watch it , even though it terrified me and haunted me for a long time. Truly a scary movie in that it is based in reality....

Fast Food Nation...slaughterhouse scenes.

Bait and switch. It was actually pitched in the video store as a comedy.

The only time I really really got scared was actually during a video game. A friend and I were playing one of the Resident Evil games. The TV is next to the stairs. All the lights are off. I turn a corner in a hallway that I had already cleared. I am immediately mauled by a zombie that didnt have his head blown off. At the same EXACT time, his fat ass cat (12 lbs) fell down the stairs. He screamed like a little girl, I threw the controller in a random direction and Bolted. Always thought I was braver than that.

OoOo NM.

When we were 12, my parents had me and my sister watch Halloween 1 & 2. Its the night before Halloween that year, and its again dark, no lights on. As we are watching, I didn't notice my Mom go to her room upstairs (Right behind us.). She snuck back down, and during a scene where Michael pops out of no where, she screamed on purpose. I immediately started to sob.

I love my Mom.

When Roseanne Barr and Meryl Streep starred together in She Devil.

That combination still makes me wince.

I loved this movie- you need to watch it as an adult to understand how it relates to the holocaust, war and human nature.

The Sound of Music.
Seriously.
When I go to hell, the horrific voice of Julie Andrews will be "singing" on a continuous loop.

LOL ... and it was actually watching Scream when Neve Campbell (?) was stuck in the dog door of the garage. I was scared to take the trash out at night for a week.
