I think I just have a different conception of what "racism" entails. Kanye seems (or is - whatever) highly prejudicial toward whites, and holds negative views of them, but I have no reason to believe he is racist toward them.

And I am willing to bet that it would be used a case of playing the "race card" if Taylor were black and Kanye were white.

The meaning of words constantly shift, and plenty of words can apply to different classes. Being a mutt doesn't mean you're equivalent to a dog. It means you are a "cross-breed" of different races. It's slang, and "mutt" is going to be the most common race in the future in America and the use of the word will prevail in spite of your oversensitive rebuke.

Yeah you can't really label this incident as racist because Kanye didn't explicitly DO or SAY anything racist. However knowing his previous ignorant racist comments, it would be sufficient enough for any person to question whether this act was motivated in part by racism. I bet it was. Although I must admit the Beyonce video was amazing (as much as I hate the song).
