Today's the election day for the Norwegian 2009 national elections. The showdown is between currently ruling Red-Green coalition (Labor, Socialist left, and Center) and the Bourgeois parties (Conservatives, Liberals, Christian democrats, and Progressives), which have not yet decided on a coalition due to policy disagreements.

For LGBTQ persons, there are two parties that stand out as unfriendly: the Christian democrats and the Progressives, both of which wish to "review" the equal marriage law that was passed last year and implemented this year (and would like to remove the marriage rights of same-sex couples).

I, myself, voted for Labor because I trust the Red-Green coalition to reflect my values more than the Bourgeois parties (and disliked the Socialist left's stated platform earlier this year, causing me to not repeat my voting from the last election).
