I just finished an advisory committee meeting of a large metrolpolitian hospital in regards to closure of a dialysis clinic. The clinic provides dialysis for 90 patients pro bono. The average dialysis cost is $75,000 per year. Depending on the patients condition, additional costs range from $20,000 to approximately $180,000 per year.
Of the 90 patients, 60 are in the U.S. illegally. The state in which these individuals reside does not allow medicaid funds to be used to provide dialysis services to illegals. In most cases, should these individuals return to their native countries, their native country will not pay for it either.
President Obama has stated universal coverage -- and I assume in this case through the public option -- will not cover medical care for illegal aliens. One solution of course is to suddenly make illegals....... well legal. That way we can couch our words most carefully and not be accused of lieing.
Our solution -- the advisory committee (the one with the purse strings) -- was to provide relocation services. Yes. We're going to move dialysis patients and their families to one of the following states: New York, North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin. These states allow medicaid to be used to treat illegal aliens.
These are Obama states where you voted via your support to foot the bill.

Whether it political or racial, the attack on the president was totally uncalled for. What little respect people have or had for the government is being ruined by ill mannered asshole all over the place. Give Obama some credit, the guy is trying and making changes and arrangements that the Bush administration failed to do and he has to reverse 8 years of shit in 4. If anyone want's to call a president a liar they should have done is 2-7 years ago. Thanks Captain Asshole (Bush) for giving Obama a year from hell.

You are conflating different things.
One important thing you conveniently left out is the fact that illegal aliens don't get a free ride in this country. They pay taxes too. Many pay income and Social Security taxes (but never draw Social Security benefits) and all pay sales and property taxes (some indirectly through rent.) Since they are generally paid less for the same work Americans do, the money saved by their employers is also channelled into other savings or investment which helps grow the economy (unfair but is the way it is.)
There is probably going to be an another amnesty just like there was under Reagan and most of these people will be made legal, because it makes business sense to do so. The anti-immigrant hype is much more fed by xenophobia than logic anyway. We need young and strong immigrants to counterbalance the ageing White population. THEY will pay for our Social Security/Medicare.
Healthcare and immigration reform are two separate issues. Both are overdue for reform.
And it's "lying" not "lieing". Don't be a moran.

The push for amnesties have mostly come from the business and agricultural community which wanted the cheap labour without fear of prosecution.
It was GW Bush that last pushed for immigration reform but lost to the xenophobic wing of the Republican party, which still wants America to be White and Christian.

Obama has lied from day number one. Remember the 3 trillion in stimulus that had to be signed or we would see heaven forbid 8% unemployment? A lie. Unemployment is 9.7% and rapidly rising. Bush didn't do that. The war in Iraq? Bush stated clearly that he was doing it to prevent any more terrorist attacks on American soil. It worked. Obama promised to bring the troops home from the Middle East. Another lie, he is pulling them from Iraq and placing them in Afghanistan. Obama promised that all bills would be on the White House website for public review before anything was passed. Another lie. Say what you want about Bush but during those 8 years the country was safe, everyone made money and like what he had to say or not, you could believe what came out of his mouth. Who in their right mind could ever think that a 1 term senator with 1 1/2 years of political experience could ever run a country? He has never run a town, city, state or company for that matter. How about his affiliations? His reverend or his position with the now every so obviously corrupt Acorn? Why does everyone keep calling him black? He is half white and calling him black is labeling him by the color of his skin. Isn't labeling someone by their skin color by definition racism? Honestly let's get someone in there who knows what they are doing and has the experience and common sense to back up their plans. Let's see... We all know that Bush lied about the Iraq War which cost $3 trillion and hundreds of thousands of lives. He lied about its cost, he lied about its objectives, there were no WMDs and Saddam had already been defanged and wasn't an imminent threat, but no one interrupted him in Congress during his speeches. What happened to Obama was unprecedented.
The Iraq War did nothing to stop terrorist attacks from occurring on American soil. There were never any terrorist attacks launched from Iraq or involved Iraqis at all. Al-Qaeda hated Saddam because Saddam was a secularist who imprisoned and executed Islamicists in Iraq.
The stimulus package started in the Bush term, due to a recession which itself caused by Republican policies. But the Bush/Paulson bank bailout cost much more than the stimulus package, and that was done by Bush as well.
Obama made no promises about unemployment numbers.
And Nancy Pelosi never called the Teabaggers "Nazis". She noted that some were showing up wearing swastikas, which is true and have circulated in photographs.
But keep the faith, buddy. Don't like pesky facts get in the way. Good luck with those midterms! Hannity/Palin for 2012!

Clearly the "divide and conquer" plan still continues to work amongst humans. People just need to sit back, and observe from a bird's eye viewpoint what's really going on.
