I asked some of the guys that have been going to the gym for a long time if it's ok to not do or do only little ab exercises during bulking and got really mixed answers. I'm kinda worried cause I neglected them during my bulk, I was always too tired from work and training to do them in the end. Now that I've started cutting (need to drop like 6-8 pounds) I've decided to do them regularly, but I'm worried that nothing will show cause I didn't even build that muscle during bulking (although small, they are still muscles like every other). I don't want really big abs or anything, just something subtle. I'm mainly worried on the estetical side, not the core strenght and stuff like that. So, can I expect positive changes or will I have to wait and do another small bulk to build sth there?
