Annoying.

So I worked really hard on my body all summer. Now that I'm back to school our gym is closed for some odd reason and all I have is my pullup bar and free weights, and I just ordered a fitness ball. I also recently contracted Swine...yuck.

So now that I'm feeling a bit better, ( and it's been about a week since I worked out for my normal time, 1 hour) why do I feel so weak? Can it really only take one week to go back that far?

Once I receive my ball I'll be doing a lot of chest exercises and such, but it's just frustrating, and well annoying. So my question is... if you don't lift for a week or so does your body lose muscle?

You're only weak because of the flu... all your body is doing right now is suppressing it, but it's still active.

Fatigue, muscle weakness (and any weakness in general) will still persist until you are fully recovered.

You may wish to research flu symptoms and recovery via your favorite search engine. Likely you'll find the above to be true.

You might also consider joining a gym.

Remember, too, if you don't eat, you won't be as strong. Eat.

Flu or Mono can take weeks to get back from... if you start back too hard, you'll make it worse. Start in with basics, go from there... and talk to your student union about why the gym is closed... you're paying for it, you should know why you cant use it.
