I had to chuckle when I read your post... and how I would react if I had that done to me.

First, make sure its deliberate, if so, yeah he wants you (he may not "like" you, but its about sex) Most of the signs you already know. Catching him looking at you, making a point to walk by, to get you to notice him, to get your attention.

My problem is I'm always engrossed in whatever I'm usually doing and I tend to miss whats going at times.

lol, with my creative imagination, i tend not to look at others, cause it'd bother me to see stuff like that and i won't know how to react.
last week, there's a guy at the gym who i've noticed for a while. very handsome, the typical fraternity type, and he checked himself out all the time in the mirror. we walked toward the same hall way and for the first time i forgot my rule of staring, i looked at him as he walk toward me, he was looking at me too, and grabbing himself for a while. i didn't know to look at his face or down his crotch, ....
anyway, i'd rather people strike a talk than all these body language. cause i'll be thinking about how to break the code for the rest of month.

The gayest signs I've ever seen are at Ross Dress for Less.

The men's department has signs that say "Active Tops" and "Active Bottoms."

Oh, dammit, did you mean another type of signs?!

All good: LMAO - thanks for the chuckle!

Darkstar: not enough info to know if he's sending you a sign or not. And I, too, would rather talk with someone rather than trying to figure out their "signs" of interest. I suggest you ask him to spot for you sometime when you're about to lift a heavy load. If he agrees to, it will provide a natural way to strike up a conversation. He might be a great guy to get to know - whether he's sending sex signals or not.

if you want the guy don't waste your time analyzing what he's doing.
give him the look that tells him you'r into him.
ask him how many sets he has left on the machine he's playing and don't be shy to start a littil talk with him, you'll know if he's intrested.

    cheers.

Just make sure he's groping himself and doesn't simply have jock itch. ;)

I strongly advise caution on this one. Most guys look and act the same at the gym regardless of whether they are gay or str8. And remember: the look a homo gives you when he's cruising you at the gym is the same look a hetero gives you when he does not appreciate being cruised!

I wish I knew. I also wish I had x-ray vision. Usually I'm focused on working out but there are usually a few seconds before I pick up the weight that I can scan the floor... but I can never tell anyway. LOL

I recently started working out at a gym that is predominently straight. Lots of frat boy types and some guys who are more serious about their workout. Either way, nice eye candy.

I found that guys were checking me out more than at the gym I used to go to. At first, I thought, where are all these cuties hiding. But later realized they were scoping out my body, comparing my progress to theirs, seeing what things I do differently in my work out. Crotch grabbing happens to, but I think more from the fact that straigh guys are always adjusting, perhaps from having to wear cheap underwear.

Now every now and then there comes the guy in sweats without underwear or the cruisy suzy, but generally, I think we all want better bodies and take hints from the people around us.

I like to look and learn : )

    1. I'd break me "Don't check guys out at the gym rule" for DJBens

    2. I only know the guys at my gym that are checking me out, because they are the same guys that tip me at the bar. It's WEIRD!!!!! Sometimes my gym is a bottle of vodka, some poppers, and a slight volume adjustment away from BEING a bar!

    3. Other than the guys i know are gay, i'm clueless as to who is and who isn't. I get looked at all the time. I'm sure it's partially because:
    A. I'm the most tattooed person at my gym
    B. My extremes when i'm stretching
    C. I sometimes do very unconventional things during my work outs because it's specific to what i need to do.

(aside: If you work out at Lifetime Fitness... just say hi! Cause if you're just staring i'm not gonna understand. That's all)

The whole eye contact thing hurts my brain. I have this habit of second-guessing (first-guessing? preemptively-guessing??) myself. If I look at a guy and he happens to be looking back at me, I automatically assume it's just a straight guy's "dude, whatcha lookin' at me for?" look.

As for in the gym, I keep my eyes and mind on my own workout. Unless, of course, a guy's just way too smoking hot to spare at least a second glance at.

And, of course, if I look at him and he makes eye contact, I feel that familiar beginning of a headache over the "is he only looking at me wondering why I'm looking at him?" question. This happen to anybody else?

Best fashion critique of the week.

Men and women look at me all the time in the gym, likely because I take my time while training and somewhat know what I'm doing. Honestly, who's gay and who's not is totally irrelevant to me...unless of course they want to have a "private show," hehe.

Dude, It may sound conceited on your part to say that but I totally understand what you're saying. I'm usually the hottest dude in my gym too and I get passes made at me almost every day by guys. Unfortunately, it's not the guys that I prefer. icon_neutral.gif Sometimes a hot guy will come up to me and strike up a conversation and I can see that he's nervous. I think nervousness is a good sign that someone is trying to make a play for you. Pay attention to the guy's face next time. I met this totally hot guy at my gym once. He was almost studdering when he approached me to talk. He was so hot I was hoping that he was into me but I still wasnt' sure. It wasn't until a few days later when he followed me into the steam room that I made my move. I could tell by his face that he wanted to do something but was too afraid to make a move himself. It took me a while too but in the steam room it was easier, for sure. He was so hot I still think about him. Apparently he lives a double life though. I saw him with this hot chick a few weeks later. Oh well.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw last weekend:

"If you are going to ride my ass, atleast pull my hair."
