I know some guys are liberal and some guys are conservative. We have debated that to death.

I want to come at it from a different angle. When you wake up in the morning, when you take your lunch break, when you have that few moments alone with your thoughts.....how do you feel? Do you view your life, your situation, your circumstance as a cup half full or a cup half empty?

Full... contentment gives you wealth in all situations. There is almost always something good to find and enjoy.

    It's really both, right?

The smart ones figure when your awake your alive. I am alive and that makes me consider I have a lot to do still.

You will never hear me sit and bitch and moan. I might not have everything in my life that I want.....But I am going to get it!

Half empty. Expect the worst, hope for the best. The rewards are more fulfilling in the end.

No one got what I asked. I did not think it was that deep or complex. I simply asked how do you feel when you wake up in the morning. Life is Good or Life is Bad.

    Absolutely full.

When something occurs that I perceive as negative and I'm upset, I always try and remind myself how lucky I am.

For me it depends on the original state of the cup.

So if I have been viewing it has full and suddenly I am without something, then that is a day that I may view my cup as half empty.

But if I had been viewing it as half empty and suddenly I adding to my life then thats a day that I'd view it as half full.

Its never a given with me, it always depends.

But for the most part life is good. And I am learning to not base my worth off of achievements. I tend to quantify myself less based off of other people my age. I guess I am developing this peace because I am letting go and enjoying the flow of life. Its taking me to some interesting places to, places I wouldn't have gone of my own free will.

    Cup FULL.

But sometimes I can be "who left the damn cup out of the dishwasher and sit all night long with coffee crusting in it?!?" ....but then I see my man naked getting in/out of the shower and know that I am truly loved... and all is right in the world.

The cup is twice as big as it should be.

When I wake up, I'm a harbinger of death. I should not be spoken to before 8:30am at best.

When I eat lunch I'm cup runneth over, because I'm always happiest when eating.

When alone I'm usually thinking and at thought - which often occurs when I'm running - I often think about the characters in my novel. So that's neither a half empty/half full scenario.

Because some days you just find yourself wearing an upside-down lampshade on your head. Life can be like that.

jprichva......I had one of those days yesterday, when I was actively searching for children to snarl at. In addition, I wanted to knock over anyone old, with a cane or casually walking slowly because they were in my damn way. I was poised to chop people's heads off at a moments provocation and in NYC, that's easy to do.

Now I know how you felt.....lol

for me it depends what time I get up. If I get up insanely early (4-5 am) I'm usually all "yeah let's kick ass!!", if I get up at like 9-10 I'll be all groggy and moody.

My cup is always full. It's one of the great advantages of living within an atmosphere. Even when the liquid drains, air replaces it.

Hard vacuums are much harder to deal with.

90% of the time I wake up early and in a good mood. Lately, it's been 100% of the time and in a really good mood.
