My grandfather used to zing me with one-liners like this. God, those were the days; Art Linkletter was getting kids to say the darnedest things, Señor Wences was letting everyone know "sallright", and Eddie Haskell was being, well, Eddie. Sigh.

jprichva saidThis is why conservatives shouldn't attempt humor. It isn't funny, it's just angry.

Well the liberals eat Cheney Sugar Coated Torture Flakes

The actor who played Eddie Haskell, Ken Osmond, really interested me in the mid-1960s. He was a big motorcycle enthusiast, and his customized bikes would appear in biker mags I read. He joined the Los Angeles PD in 1970, serving on the motorcycle unit ("motors") among other duties. He was retired disabled in 1988 after being hit by 3 bullets during a chase. He still makes some personal appearances, and occasional cameos in films & TV. I believe his regular job now is a property manager in the L.A. area.

Ya know, JP.....you have a stick up your ass for anyone who doesn't believe exactly the things you do.
And you wouldn't know humor if you were given an NEA grant to find it.icon_rolleyes.gif

Actually false. It´s just his sense of humor is rather sophisticated and dry.

And I thought Sugar Coated Torture Flakes was rather good. icon_rolleyes.gif

In the middle of a heated political battle, attempts at humor can come up lame to some. I didn't think it was particularly funny, but political humor has been around since the dawn.....

I for one would love to snack on Obama's nuts.

I would lick them and, munch on them as if there's no tomorrow

I wonder if Mrs. O would give me a helping of them?

How do I go about getting a helping?
