So I am thinking of going away for the Christmas holidays. Somewhere warm, and sunny. Anyone have any good suggestions-- leaving from Eastern Canada.

    Yikes - how very provincial

May I suggest Barbados or St. Maarten or St. Barts or the Grenadines or Anguilla or New Zealand

They're non-stop flights from Pearson to Lima, Santiago, Bogota, and Caracas. Have a warm adventure.

    Peace.

Palm Springs. Canadians love Palm Springs. My boyfriend and i spend every February there and it seems like we run into thousands of Canadians.

What about Mexico? The Yucatan is great that time of year, as it is moving into its dry season.

If you are inclined to travel even further, you could also do Egypt, which is not oppressively hot then.

I agree with Florida, or maybe Cancun?

lol. I'm the opposite! I would love to find some place where there is snow, snow, snow! Down here in the Carolina's, we RARELY see quality snow fit for snow fights. Last year was good, but the most part it is just powdery stuff.

You could always try Hawaii if your wallet can support it or Australia since I hear it's great this time of year.

How much time do you have? I enjoyed myself in Guadalajara and Tequila, which isn't far from Puerto Vallarta. Enjoyed visiting the distilleries at Tequila, and also going to the art town of Tlaquepaque. icon_smile.gif

The Grenadines, Anguilla or the Turks and Caicos. You won't find too many places in the Western hemisphere that feel as isolated and can match the levels of relaxation and pampering those can provide while also providing lots of water and outdoor activities (and some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world in the Grenadines and the T&Cs).

I usually go on a cruise to the Carribean every two years during the month of December. It's a little weird seeing all the holiday decorations when it's so nice outside but man I love swimming next to little fish at Cabbage beach in Nassau compared to struggling to get down the street on icy roads in WA.

I'd love to traipse the U.K. or head to the U.S.V.I.s ... more than likely, I'll be here in Beantown doing research.

I spent Christmas week in NYC last year for the first time and loved it. May do it again this year. It was cold but the snow and all the decorations everywhere really put me in the holiday spirit.
