In a way I guess my taste is perhaps unusual as well.
Although I do lend a ear to all kinds of music, I'm absolutely crazy about opera and classical choral music.

Indie/Alternative/Punk/Rock. I love live music in small alternative venues where you can dance.

The current favourite band (of the month I guess) is the Cinematics. I love their song Strange Education.

Buffalo...count me in as a lover of Black Sabbath too! Have the entire discography and many bootlegs too. Give me my Hard Rock and Metal and "Alternative" almost any day over dance/techno/pop/country and is rap/hiphop even considerd "music"? Will make special allowances for Cher and Madonna though....I am GAY afterall! LOL!
Ever try to find a gay bar that plays good classic Hard Rock or Metal? Not in any bar I've been to...

I really listen to a little of everything.

Right now I'm really into Dinosaur Jr. (just saw them last night, and my ears are still ringing... haha!)

Nirvana, Sonic Youth, The Melvins, The Pixies, Ha Ha Tonka, Meat Puppets, Mudhoney, L7... there's tons more, but those are my top favorites.

Too much to mention. My favourite period of music was the post-Beatles sixties (1964-1969). The golden age of pop rock when The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Supremes, Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, The Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, and many others were turning out great hits.

The 1990's alternative music was also great, but I have not heard much recently (except Green Day) that I like.

Hip-hop music has become too predictable and gimmicky with only Kanye West really demonstrating some creativity. The early hip-hop (1987-1991) was the best as far as I was concerned.

Classical is my favourite "serious" music, with Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius, Mozart, Tchaikowsky, Dvorak, Wagner being some of my favourites.

I think he meant Kaskade ~ he's a really prolific house dj, artist, and producer.

Cascada is alright. I hate "Everytime We Touch", though. It reminds me of a person I don't like...

As to me, I heavily listen to EDM, whether it's trance, house, breaks, drum 'n bass, hardcore/happycore, chill out...you name it. I also listen to my fair share of jazz and various forms of rock.

I've always liked different types of music. It's sort of a turn off when I meet people that say they only like one genre of music.

I think I like everything. Country would be my least favorite genre but I still love some of it. I'm even getting into Hip Hop recently (probably because of Frank Mir's UFC entrance) but I swear most of those songs have to put something homophobic in the lyrics for one reason or another.
