I do not want what happened to "Arrested Development" to happen to this show. As in, a great show with great writing and hilarious performances to be cancelled because it doesn't get enough viewers. So I am taking this opportunity to ruthlessly promote what is currently the funniest show on American television:

    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Take the five WORST people in Philadelphia: Charlie, an idiot savant, if only he had the "savant" part down; his oldest friend Mac; Dennis, their friend with whom they own an Irish bar, and who is as vain as they come; his sister, Sweet Dee, who works as the waitress at the bar, always subject to the greatest humiliations; and Frank, Dee and Dennis' dad, (played by Danny DeVito), who is a man whose moral restraint dwarfs even those of his children.

Here are some clips and previews for your enjoyment.

    Meet the Cast

Ooooh, Charlie, so stupid... so very, very stupid.

    Sweet Dee introduces Artemis

The Nightman Commeth was the finest piece of comedy I have seen on television.

Furthermore, i really wish they would bring back Arrested Development

I have no idea what they would do with it, but i've always wanted a AD comeback like the way family guy came back. Have some network play it a lot, because it really is brilliant, and then have Fox buy it back and set it up on a pedestal.

    sigh

if you want this boy's hole you'll have to pay the troll toll.

Frank, it's "If you want this boy's soul", it sounds like you're saying "boy's hole."

yeah, that's what I'm saying. "if you want this boy's hole you'll have to pay the troll toll."

Because of this show, I occasionally like to do something unexpected and dangerous while shouting "Wild Card BITCHES!"

I've never watched the show yet, but the trailers and previews cracked me up. Its nice to see characters on TV that portray real people, rather than politically correct fake smiling "have a nice day" people. In other words, people who aren't afraid of showing their true colors, warts and all.

Chelsea Lately is great too. LOVE the show, the humor and the grittiness of it.

It's always easier to bring back animated show than live action ones.
Voice actors are easier to replace and the characters never age.
    -----------------------
Carnival needs to be resurrected.... but most of the actors have aged too much for it to look/feel like the same the show.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia LIVE: The Nightman Cometh was just here in San Francisco. I was laughing for 3 days afterwards. The entire cast was great and the audience just ate it up. Special guests in the audience were of course, Greenmen - hot guys in green lycra spandex zentai suits. They also showed clips of past seasons and upcoming season highlights before the show started.

Arrested Development is missed as well.

That's what happens, Charlie, you get fork-stabbed!

Also, one of the best-running lines:

    God damnit, Charlie!

I've been making my boyfriend watch it. And the episode where Dee compliments Artimus's blouse, and she slurs "I got it at Burlington Coat Factory, It's an irregular" could not stop laughing.

Unfortunately, I sometimes shop there and yeah red face.

    I've got a bleached asshole!

"Sunny" does not air on network television (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, The WB), so it does not need to pull in the ratings or audience share that "Development" needed to pull in to stay on the air. So, as long as it maintains an acceptable viewership to it's network (TBS?) and its cost per episode doesn't get out of control (e.g. cast salaries), it should be on for a while. It's been on 3 or 4 seasons already, right? Around the seventh year is when many shows become much more expensive because cast contracts expire and they get to renegotiate for higher pay.

    into their 5th season now.

and regardless, more people should watch it because it's great and deserves a huge following.

the writing is so quick and sharp and hilarious, and the performances are dead-on.

It is such a funny show. I watch it religiously now. If you live in Philadelphia, you have no excuse so just watch it... otherwise, everyone would enjoy it and see some philly native things. Nothing is as unique or as funny.
