ATT wireless falsely represented their coverage area

    ATT wireless represented my area as covered, when in fact there is no coverage. They told me that in order to correct the problem, other ATT wireless customers would also have to contact their Tech support to complain that there was no service in Glen Arbor Michigan (and in a 1 mile radius) at our restaurant/motel "Melba Ann's". Does this appear to be discrimination? or just plain fraud?

    Well, it's misrepresentation, and false advertising, at the very least. It's really too bad what AT&T has become.

    They are the ones who ILLEGALLY volunteered to turn over all of America's phone records to the Federal government, so that Bush and Cheney could spy on all Americans.

    I ditched their long distance service, opting to go with Credo, and I couldn't be happier.

    Arn't they legally obliged to give you a cooling off period in which you return it and cancel the contract if you are unhappy with the service

    Having no coverage where you work all day seems like a good reason, Get all your friends to call in and complain and in 3 years we might get around to putting in a cell tower and we can provide you with the service you paid us for

    Does that seem like a reasonable solution to you

    Try calling customer service relentlessly with the problem. I know Sprint sometimes drops you if you call customer service too much. It could be worth a try to get you out of the contract. ATT is probably including Glen Arbor as part of the Traverse City area. I'm sure in Traverse City itself they have good coverage.

    Where I live, Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, AT&T says there is GOOD signal when i fact there is ZERO signal on my street for a block in any direction (I haven't checked other parts of the Canyon)

    I call them at least once a month because I want to get an i-phone and they told me two weeks ago that THREE new towers servicing my neighbor came on line. STILL nothing!

    Giving the people who work the stores the benefit of the doubt, I suppose they are miss- lead by the company.

    Are you guys using 3G phones? I get crappy 3G reception in my place. But after I disabled 3G on my phone, I get full bars on EDGE. I don't use data much, so no big loss for me.
