    Alright guys...

usually i don't like having a gym partner. But sometimes when the tough gets going, it actually helps to have somebody to give some motivation and some energy. I was cheated on recently and have been a little too depressed and unmotivated to go to the gym... i think having somebody to meet up with would help a lot.

So how do I find a good gym partner... i'm in better shape than most my friends, and i want somebody who can push me and vice/versa.

Any advice? Anybody local and interested in a mutual gym buddy thing?

I wish I had one... when I was going regularly with a buddy I was in the best shape cause I always went and felt obligated and then we pushed each other. but now my work schedule is too inconsistent fo rthe average person.

I'm trying to find one now too. Did work out with the bf but we have to go to different gyms for financial reasons (he goes to university gym for free). Waiting to see if anyone replys on craigslist. If not, I may try posting something on the gym bulletin board.

I have an awesome partner! Hard driving, $hit talking, always show up, big ole straight guy and we train like animals! I saw him in the gym training alone and noticed that he tended to be a chatty, social kind of guy. A social guy, IMHO, makes a better, more dedicated partner. So I asked him if he was interested in a training partner and we've been tight ever since. He's actually one of my closest friends now.

Might be worth it to ask at your gym if they know of anyone who is looking for a training partner. Seeing as how your fitness level is so high, they might be able to suggest some folks to reach out to who would be compatible.

Craigslist is another option, although I didn't have much luck when I tried that last year.

(Edit to add: sorry to hear you were cheated on, man. Now get your ass back in the gym!!! icon_twisted.gif )
