I have a midterm exam coming up this Friday and started making some outlines from my notes. And then I ran into this.

You can't figure out the word based on the context of the sentence?

    Marked

    Because of

    Mens & mation ( motion?)

I would have to see the whole thing to understand what the hell it said.

if you can´t read your notes when you took them and know what the options are in the context, how do you expect us to?

Marked is my best guess, too. Though as already stated, content would also give more clues.

Or else murlhed, but not mwrlhed as jprichva proposes. If not an A, that second letter has to be a U, never a W.

    Yes to because.

Instead of mens&mation or motion, menstruation perhaps? (If the entire pic doesn't appear in the forum window, drag it out and view from the desktop)

Maybe something to do with sociology or history, the word after marked being women, women's, or woman, the prior word in the line being generation or nation? Discussing the historical rise of modern feminism? I love games!

Hope that helps, and best to you on the midterm. But nothing involving the medical profession, I trust. icon_wink.gif

I am also voting for marked, because, and menstruation.

I also vote for practicing to write legibly, or else learning to type fast enough that you can take your notes electronically (whether by bringing a laptop to class or by bringing a tape recorder to class and transcribing afterward).

HabeasCorpses, that would have been easier if you'd posted all three lines so we could get the gist of what was being said.

Including the context, I can make sense of it. More or less I just wanted to poke fun at my hand-writing--or lack thereof. I don't need people to figure out the word because I can't, just showing how sloppy my writing is.

Slowly I turned, step by step, inch by inch... (Old Abbott & Costello routine)

Well now I think we deserve to know what those lines actually say, don't you? And what these notes were about? Either that, or I'd like to introduce you to my Uncle Carmine, whose handwriting is equally bad, mainly because he seldom takes his brass knuckles off... LMAO!

The notes are from the class Society and Gender in Europe during the Early Modern. Pretty much all we talk about is how women were viewed during this era. Popular thought was pretty messed up back in the day. After the fall of Eve, women pretty much got the shaft, hur hur hur. . .

Personally I think the word is supposed to be "marked" (The note would read: Menstruation marked woman's fallen nature, women's nature has fallen from perfection because of Eve, heirs to Eve's sin.) . I probably should've included it in the original post, but I thought people would get a laugh or two out about how nonsensical the word looks. Indeed I think the word is "marked", but the thing is, it looks nothing like "marked"! mutlhed?

All in all, it was a bad joke that wasn't even delivered properly. My apologies RJ.
