Hey guys-

I'm 22, and pretty lean as you can see from my pics. I want to gain more muscle mass and of course need to intake more calories in order to do that. So I've heard good and bad things about Smoothie King's "THE HULK" shake with weight gainer in it and also about 900 calories. So was curious what you guys think....let's hear some feedback!!!

Thanks everyone!

You should find out where the calories are coming from. If it's all sugar, then it may not be a good idea.

Ideally you should try and eat actual food. Save the high calorie smoothies and shakes for immediate post-workout consumption.

Smoothie King is a scam. Too much sugar and saturated fat in that drink.

The Hulk has A LOT of saturated fat. I would avoid it.

out of like 50 drinks or so that they offer only about 12 have any real benefits and only about 6 give you all the protein with low fat and low sugar

I think people go there and think that everything on the menu is healthy when most of the stuff is LOADED with sugar. At worst opt for anything with protein that is low in sugar

gosh, that sounds disgusting. having read the ingredients, all i can say is sugar bomb. anything with 90g of sugar should be avoided!

reminds me jamba juice. they act like it's so healthy when, in fact, it's nothing but sugar, sugar, and more sugar. stay away!

as others have pointed out, saturated fat is high. if the source were coconut oil, for example, i wouldn't worry. but given that it's ice cream, etc., it's animal fat and, therefore, full of cholesterol.

Doesn't the Hulk include two scoops of ice cream plus some additional sugar? It will cause weight gain, but not the kind you want.

Get a blender and make your own smoothies. Take a scoop of ON whey protein, some fresh fruit and a handful of ice cubes and you've got a healthy meal without all the sugar.
