Tattoos: Hot or not??

I started dating this guy and when we got to the physical part, I saw that he had tattoos....alot of them. For me personally, this is a HUGE turnoff. Problem is, now I can't get beyond it. How can I date someone who has something as lame as a crown of thorns tattoo? I mean, it is as bad as a barbed wire or a chinese character, etc. I realize cliches are tough to avoid in DC but are there any gay guys who don't like tatoos either??

i wouldnt mind, i personally dont like tattoos for myself but im not going to discriminate against guys who have them, if u didnt know until u got "physical" i guess that means theyre under his clothes so next time u get down n dirty just turn the lights off icon_smile.gif

everyone makes mistakes....even crown of thorn ones...

Tattoos are hot, hot, hot! That is, as long as they're good ones. I luv big ones, like full sleeves and back pieces.

I love small discreet tattoos, nothing that covers your body or makes it look like graffiti

it depends on the quality of the ink and the location of the ink.

IMO, tats are not acceptable in any area of the body above the adams apple.

I don't really care for them. But a small one would be fine.

I've never liked them. I do think they look hot on the right guy in the right place, but tattoos from head to toe is a huge turn-off. These mates that tattoo their necks, upper chest, and other areas that cannot really be covered up properly when you work are just out there to me.

I don't like tattoos. It isn't a deal breaker, but the more/bigger they are the more negative they become for me. What I just can't stand though is nipples rings. It could be the hottest guy, but if he has nipple rings it tends to be a deal breaker for me.

Tattoos are not, not, not hot! Even if they're 'good ones.' I hate big ones, small ones, the ones that act as full sleeves, back pieces, tamp stamps, zodiac symbols, 'tribal' scribing, names and numbers, and well- anything in-between.
You are not alone in this. ^_^
Tattoos are nothing but irreversible skin blemishes er- stains, if not worse.

a small unobtrusive one would be ok. but when they start covering whole body parts - that's a deal breaker.

Whether it's hot or not depends on the guy, that tattoo and the placement.

Ok, here's the thing with tats...has anyone stopped to realize what these 20-30-40 somethings with all these tats are going to look like as senior citizens? I mean the pool at the retirement home will be fucking SCARY! icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif

I dig tats. Not a deal breaker for sure. Just have to turn the lights off I'd say. icon_biggrin.gif

If you like this guy for who he IS ...... what's the problem ?
I would think that you like him both physically AND mentally/intellectually.
    So he's got a tat...bad tat or not...get over it !

As for the future of tatted guys in their 20-40s.....
they'll have interesting stories to tell ! icon_lol.gif
Like my older friend who got a tat to celebrate and honor his surviving breast cancer.

BTW..... Logan McCree is a hot and very sweet guy !
His tats truly are a beautiful expression of his innerself.
I wouldn't kick him outta bed unless we were doin it on the floor ! Ha ! icon_wink.gif

Depends on so many factors. I'm not against them, I can find them hot. But it depends what they are and the guy and what his body/canvas looks like. I don't like tats on some guys, while they look good on others. I find some tats hot, and others (especially if not very good) off-putting. Looking at Diffident's example above, I agree that his are not attractive to me. It's overdone and I'm not a fan of the design. I could probably find another man with that amount of tats attractive, given certain parameters.

Whether a tat looks good or not depends on the guy. Tats primarily look good on masculine and very muscular guys. I like them if they are on the shoulder or upper back. On the flip side, I get turned off seeing tats on skinny or out of shape guys. Also, seeing tats on the chest, stomach, or ass is a huge turnoff for me. For some reason, I really hate tats in the shape of stars- not hot to me at all.

Hey I like mine quite a bit and I never hear anyone say it isn't hot.
But it depends on the tattoo and who it is on defiantly. Tacky tattos are a major turn off for me.

Tattoos are like pepper: a little goes a long way. Too often guys overdo it, which might look kinda hot when they are young and ripped, but wait until they are middle-aged and a bit saggy...yikes!

Hey I saw a guy once who had "Anthony" tattooed (non-professionally) all over his body. And when he took of his underwear he had "Anthony's property" just above his pubes, and "Anthony's pussy" in the small of his back.

    Nice.

And no, he wasn't with Anthony anymore... hahaha.

For me, it depends. I like tattoos, as long as they are good ones. And placed correctly. I can't stand tattoos that are corny or poorly done. Belly tatts are instant deal killers. Same with tramp stamps.

    Example: Cute guy, dumb tatts..
