So I think the question about tattoos was asked so how about piercings? Generally, I think that it's hot on some guys, cuz not all guys can pull of ear or any other type of piercings. Also, too many piercings is bad icon_razz.gif

I have 3 btw-left earlobe, right ear industrial and eyebrow icon_razz.gif

    I've had 6 total

2 in each ear and 1 in each nipple. Took them out in 2001 for surgery and haven't put them back in because I just got tired of them. Let me tell you that scar tissue on the nipples looks like hell.

You're right, on some guys they look hot. It's not necessarily about the body type, it's more about the individual image.

Nipple piercings are a major turn-off for me. I also think lip, nose, eyebrows or multi-ear piercings look ridiculous. Damn I must be getting old. icon_neutral.gif

personally i love a guy with both piercings and tattoos. I've had 8 piercings done myself, 3 cartilage, 2 lobe, both nipples and my libret. now i only have my lobes and my libret, but i still love them. and i agree, the scar tissue from nipple piercings is not pretty, but i kinda want to get the redone.

one in the ear works for me, but I don't find any sort tongue, lip, brow or body piercing attractive at all. I once stopped seeing a mate who came over and surprised me with his new navel piercing. It was so trashy looking that I couldn't get past that.

I don't like visible piercings. Although I've had many in the past. It's just unprofessional.
I have my nipples done for ten years now, and they're there for life. Really cute by the way too.

These are my newest piercings, sorry I don't have a clearer shot. Hopefully it's clear enough to see the barbells in my nipples!

Of course there's a risk of piercings looking trashy. Like tattoos, piercings need to be tastefully placed and performed with top craftsmanship. That said, the right jewelry in the right place on the right guy is SMOKIN' hot, in my opinion ;-)

All of my piercings are easily hidden under clothes, and while a lot of people get pierced to make a statement, I like mine being something more personal.

My piercings : ear lobe, tragus (ear), nipples, prince albert, lorum (top of scrotum). Planning to do a scrotum ladder (a row or rings down the front of the scrotum). I think piercings are hot. The ones I have I did for myself. Don't care what anyone else thinks about them. I just do what I want. If someone doesn't like it, then screw 'em.

The only piercing I got was a Monroe. I took it out after a month because it got annoying when it hit my teeth. Then a month later got it pierced again and took it out again. I'm probablyone of the very few guys that can actually pull it off. Still thinking about getting my.

    My Nape (back neck)
    Rib cage
    collar bone
    lips
    industial
    front lower neck.

still need to get a tattoo lol

Surface piercings aren't worth the hassle. They tend to grow out easily and leave scar tissue. When people would come into the shop I worked at and ask for a surface piercing, and I felt they were unprepared for a piercing of that "level," I would explain to them the concept of how a cheese cutter works.

Piercings in lobes, septums, frenums, et cetera don't have the direct pressure of the planar form of the body pushing against them like a surface piercing does (exempli gratia the nape of the neck). Also, surface piercings initially have to be done with jewelry long enough to extend from one side of the piercing to the other to allow for proper cleaning (with a ring you can rotate the jewelry while it is soaped up... with a bar it has to pass through), and you have to be prepared to coddle that piercing (id est you don't want to snag that long jewelry).

Unless you really want a surface piercing, I would strongly recommend against it until you familiarize yourself with how wounds heal and research piercing. Caveat emptor.

As for piercings - to each his/her own. Although I don't have any I'd have to say I'm more of a traditionalist and prefer to see a simple ring in the lobe at most.

The most disturbing one I've seen is in the Nape of the neck. For some reason thats just not right and more of a personal turnoff than those in 'private' places. Speaking of the private piercings - what do you do when traveling through airport security? Leave it out until you get to your business meetingicon_question.gif Or hope for a really good looking agent to do the strip search icon_lol.gif

my husband has had 17 man made holes as far as peircings.
He has tounge, 5-7 in his ears nipples, naval, PA. Also he has had both brows, nape and back of neck.
He still wears the PA it's 0awg and is a flight attendant.
Surgical steel will not set off metal detectors.
I think they are comming back. I am 32 years old and would love some but I think it would look like I was going thru some Midlife Crisis. Same with Tattoos but I think I want the experice of having it done.

nah I agree totally. I have both ears pierced and probably only wear them a couple times a year. Nips turn me off big time. For some reasona I always thought belly button rings were hot.

Had a teammate in College that had a PA along with ears, and he would put a huge loop in it for a race. He got some hysterical double takes when he got on the starting blocks. But anything that shows other than a single piercing in one or both ears will make your future professional life a challenge, unless you plan on opening your own Tattoo, Piercing Studio, or have what it takes to be a rock star, or just plan on being a Stoner.

    I had 20 years ago:

    Left nipple
    left nostril
    both ears 2 each
    navel

I let them all close save the nipple. That one hurt so much I vowed to live with it forever. In 30+ years when Im in a nursing home the nurse will be horrfied that an old bastard like me has his nipple done icon_smile.gif
