Ok so I love horror movies I'm a HUGE nerd when it comes to them and I watch them all no matter how shitty they may seem, I know everyone has their stupid meaningless turn offs and I just found mine. I Get SO turned off when a guy says " oh I can't watch scary movies unless u hold me I get scared"

I'm all down for cuddling during a movie but when someone tries to be cute it just seems really gay, anyone else get turned off by that? Or am I just lame

icon_lol.gif HAHAHAHAHA ! Yeah, I've heard of big masculine guys "screaming" or Covering up in a movie - & to picture that is KINDA funny. But yeah, due to me being pretty known as a horror nut, some guys make comments about "will you hold me?" hahahaha

    It is funny.

hahahah. That's funny. I personally don't like when someone tries to be "cute" it's kinda annoying, girly and I'm pretty Femme

"Can you hold me when the scary parts come up"

"no bitch! you'll crush my popcorn"

    "icon_eek.gif"

    "icon_razz.gif"

hahaha yeah no well.. kinda.. depends on the guy..

generally if I'm watching a scary movie I'll crush a hand or something when I'm scared.. if it's gross though, I generally close my eyes and block my eyes... then you'll need to let me know it's over...

never had this happen to me. The image is funny to me. Maybe I'd think it was annoying or I'd find the cute in it. I love to cuddle but then again I hate feeling hot nose air on my face when cuddling and ask them to adjust their head so I'm thinking maybe the scared cuddling might bother me a little. Probably would call him a pussy or some thing. Not sure I'd call it gay unless he is sucking my cock while he's whimpering in fear of the movie icon_smile.gif

Lol great comments so far. icon_biggrin.gif

It can be quite a turn off if somebody tries to pull that kind of thing. Not just horror movies even in general, like watching sex and the city and and saying some really wierd stuff while batting eyes like a disney cartoon "Oh I am so crushed please hold me".

I mean i understand yeah its not cute being fake about it and all but I honestly have to turn my head away at some horror movies, with lots of gore it just gives me shivers.

I love horror movies to death though.

Well most of the 1000 of dvds I own are horror so yes it is a turn off when someone turns into a big sissy in a perfectly mundane horror/

Naw I completely agree w/ many on here 'bout this.

It's a funny thought in my head to see a older man trying to to be cute & say "would you hold me?" (something along those lines) cuz, yeah, its a bit .... unmasculine? I would just hope they weren't being serious.

But I completely agree how someone could squirm, get squeamish, turn their head or cover their eyes - it's supposed to evoke that! If it is, it's doing its job!..........just try not to miss the good money shots icon_wink.gif heh

I'm a serious horror fan ! ( I'm also seriously pissed that the "Shock It To Me fest was cancelled this year !! DAMNIT !!!! )

Anyway...when guys try to pull the " hold me I R scared " crap
I tell em maybe they should go wait in the car. ( I don't have one. )
If they decide to stay and tough it out.... I can't help but roll my eyes and crack up maniacally as they recoil in overly dramatic terror. icon_twisted.gif

    Big horror fan.

I have been known to sit closer to a date during a suspenseful part of a movie. I do jump when surprised and will close my eyes or bury my head in a dates shoulder during excessively gory parts. But I never ask if one will hold me. I just grab them if I get freaked out.

It's pretty funny and they usually find it endearing. I love it when a date scares me during a movie too!

Oh and if excited, I will say stuff like, "Bitch, don't go in there!" or "Oh shit!"

    Go see Zombieland!
Great movie with a very funny surprise!

I watched Trick R' Treat last nite. Kinda a cool scary Halloween movie, bit cheesey of course, but worth watching. I love horror movies too, I actually get freaked by em, but it's the anticipation of something popping out that does it for me. Never had anyone ask to be held because they're scared of it, I think I mite be slightly annoyed, depending on the situation, movie, and how they went about it.

That's why it's good to get started right when the movie starts and screw all the way through it.

To each his own, but I don't see the big deal in a guy wanting to be held by a guy he finds attractive. If you are turned off by a guy that likes to be held while watching a scary flick, then I say you make that one of your voiced pre requisites.

I'd never say anything like, "oh I can't watch this movie unless you hold me." But you better believe if I'm sitting next to you, and I see something that makes me we wanna cover my eyes - like that damn one guy one cup vid - I'm burrying my face in your chest and you're gonna either put your face against mine, or put your arms around me.

Thats just my thing. I am very big on physical intimacy and the guys I generally go for are naturally protective and would do so without question instantly because thats the role they prefer to play for the men they care about.

In all honesty, if a guy can't make me feel frail and gentle in some way, then he doesn't turn me on. I prefer to date a guy that can make me feel like I'm his, like my straight friends make their girlfriends feel. I don't think it makes me any less manly at all.

I will have to admit that scary movies aren't even scary, so your guys must have really weak stomachs lol. But once again to each own. We all have our turn offs. At least you know what yours are. Sometimes I can just stop liking someone from out of nowhere and not even know why.

i love horror movies partly because they bring you closer to those around you. i'd never watch one alone- more than any other movie genre, i think you have to experience them together- and i warn whoever's next to me at the time that i'll be cutting off the circulation in their arm as i cling to it lol- part of the fun. i love cuddling during a good horror movie
