Underwear at the Gym

Okay, what type of underwear do you wear to work out in? I always wear various briefs or square-cuts, but with some pairs whenever I bend over or squat or whatever, and then stand back up, the motion moves the underwear and my penis so it is perpendicular to the floor... not so fun. Then I have to adjust myself on the sly so I don't look like I have a mini boner. Annoying.

    Advice?

eh... I don't care anymore, if you end up tenting let it tent, straight guys have an inbuilt ignore mechanism so they don't see it unless it's incredibly pronounced.

Not that you'll be able to prove they are looking anyway cause they wouldn't admit it.

when i know it's gonna be a tough workout or on my legs or a workout that involves a lot of jumping, i would wear a jock. it literally hurts when i dont. i'd wear one because i need it not because it looks or feels hot. icon_smile.gif

I wear the kind of shorts that have the liners, so I don't have to wear undies when I workout.

If your main concern is how you look (like you have wood) then don't worry about it. I guarantee that nobody (but the gay guys) will care/notice.

Now if it's uncomfortable then that's a different story. If I wear underwear at all to the gym then I usually wear skin hugging contoured lycra boxer-briefs. that is, they have a pouch sewn in the front that gives your dick room to move and doesn't bind it. the skin tight lycra also tends not to chafe or hold sweat like cotton can. Walmart used to carry them under the LIFE brand lable but I haven't seen them there in a while.

Compression shorts. They are better for movement and your penis should be stable enough not to make you feel uncomfortable.

TheGuyNextDoor saidI like the way these CK briefs fit for the gym, they keep me in place on days I am doing squats, lunges, bench work etc... if not,
I wore a black jock for years that has the same cup effect. Not a fan of anything too tight or too loose when trying to work out. Loose is great for lounging around the house or with company...

Haha that is the exact pair I wore today and had the problem with.

I can't imagine not wearing underwear anywhere, much less at the gym. How uncomfortable, and unsanitary for that matter. I either wear whatever I was already wearing (why get another pair dirty? and I often wear the CK briefs that are the culprit in this thread, but I never have problems) or I wear these guys, Under Armour lycra trunks:

...and they're great. Wick away moisture, keep everything right where it should be and feel nice against my skin. No complaints to be had.

Mostly long boxer briefs, but occasionally jock; need new jocks, though.

I used to work out in my boxers under my gym shorts. Flopped a bit but not an issue there.

But when I began mountain biking, I found I needed to keep my junk better out of the way. We have some pretty technical trails and last thing you want to be doing is try to ride and be reaching into your bike shorts, trying to pull your nuts out of between your thighs to keep them from being pinched.

So an old fashioned Bike jock, like was required in jr.high, works. Now I'm using one in the gym too. It's a little more discreet (no flopping) but also feels a little sexy too.

Under Armour makes the best workout underwear. I wear the Short Boxer Jocks usually. They're very comfortable and almost never require me to readjust.

I don't wear any underwear. I go commando in my gym shorts, but when I run, I wear a jock.

Mate, that's kinda gross. No one wants to see your junk hanging out your shorts while you're on the bench press icon_eek.gif

I wear a snug pair of briefs that keep the boys in place and me hanging to the right.

I mostly wear a jock under my shorts at the gym. Sometimes a pair of sports briefs (not cotton).

I only wear undies in the winter time. Like jock straps and high leg boxer briefs. Other than that I free ball!icon_wink.gif

I wear briefs for working out as well as regular day to day. Boxers and boxer briefs have a tendency to bunch up bad on me. I don't own jocks, never been crazy about them.

I don't have a problem in gym, rarely ever have to adjust, and I don't get sexually excited when i'm working out. I'm just there to workout, not oggle guys.
