Is Your Wallet Organized or a Mess?

Credit, bank, gym membership, rewards and pass (key) cards...........business cards, small pieces of paper, receipts, phone numbers,...........there's so much stuff in my wallet.

I can never keep it organized and I'm always fumbling and looking for what I need.

What's the best wallet type? Bi-fold? Triplicate?

Do you do often do a wallet cleanout? Is your wallet shiny new or do you like it worn and stained from sweat?

Does a messy stuffed wallet look cheezy?

I can't stand to not be able to find things, so everything has a place, and that's where I put it. In my wallet, two of the cards go in one slot, the rest go in another, with the cash behind them. I never have to search for things.

I need to clean mine out. I've got some old business cards, receipts, and a video rental card from a place that went out of business years ago. icon_lol.gif

My friends always make fun of me because I won't put bills in my wallet unless they're in ascending order and all facing the same way and top up.

I also only have my two bank cards (personal and business), two credit cards (personal and business), two driver's licenses (USA and Turks & Caicos) and my health insurance card. No receipts or other pieces of paper ever make it into my wallet.

I once saw a study that said after years of packing a thick wallet in your back pocket most men suffer frm hip problems. I clean my wallet every nite. discarding useless contents such as reciepts, business cards and I never carry cash. I usually buy a new wallet twice a yr. I just ordered my second green (fav color) wallet ever and I'm pretty excited! currently have a trifold and I hate it.

    That's adorable...

    I have three wallets.

One is my everyday wallet, It's just a mocha bifold for my two credit cards, debit card, and prepaid Starbucks card on one side and my driver's license on the other. I keep my Metrocard or if I'm in a different city, comparable PT pass on the left pocket and a small amount of cash on the right.

I have a larger special occasion wallet that has some photos as well as my insurance cards, value cards, membership cards, and stuff like that, and if I need to do something major like go shopping, I either take that wallet, or just take what I need out of it in the morning.

I also have a single pocket wallet that just carries my ID and one credit or debit card. I take that clubbing or bar hopping cause its not bulky and I can keep it wherever.

I empty whatever papers are in my wallet at the end of the day, with the appropriate information streamlined into my otherwise neurotically-organized life.

In my wallet- crinkled and folded bills, combo credit/atm card, regular atm in case I lose the other, credit card, the credit card I reported lost but later found in the wallet, phone numbers of people I can't remember, receipts, drivers license, several medical insurance cards (they send a new one every year), dental card, eye med card, AAA card, doctor and dental appointment cards, Kroger card, CVS card, GNC card, Vitamin Shoppe card, Lids card, 40% coupon for Michaels, Pizzicato 5 Fanclub membership card, my boyfriends business cards to give to people I run into (he has a plumbing company), a couple photos, work id, voter id. A lot of shit when I really have nothing.

I guess I'm not the person to ask about an organized wallet. And now my boyfriend has walked in and seen me with the wallet and said, "You're not buying something else are you?"

That's so funny and I know what you are talking about! Maybe someday purses and pocketbooks will become a functional choice for men instead of just one small wallet.

But then again, have you ever been stuck in line behind a woman who is taking a million years to find her credit card or money? Its a pain.

i carry about 4 cards total -- bank card, drivers license, insurance card, and amex. There might be some cash and there might not be. I clean out any receipts and business cards each night. I like things neat and clean!

    2 debit cards
    2 driver's licenses
    U-Pass for Bus/Rail
    CostCo Card
    Sam's Club
    AMEX Gift Card
    Several business cards.

I just keep my necessary cards (ATM, DL and U-Pass) in the easy accesible part of my wallet.

You are NOT alone--I do the same thing. Easy to see how much I've got at a quick glance.

I keep cash, Driver's License, Debit card, Credit card, Home Depot and Banana Republic cards (although I don't need the last two every day).
Also keep my health insurance and drug cards and auto insurance slip.
I just started using a new iPhone app that loads all your retail cards (grocery, gym, etc.). I don't like them on my key ring or in my wallet.

    My wallet is always organized.

    Driver's License
    HealthCard
    Extended Healthcare Benefit Card
    Air Miles
    Mastercard
    Visa
    Amex
    Debit
    GNC Card

Usually never any cash (I use cards), and never any change (that's what the cupholders in the car are for!)

On nights that I'm going out - I take my drivers license, Visa, Amex, and Debit card out - they go into a Tiffany's money clip (gift) and that goes in my front pocket!

Now the bin that is part of the drivers side door - is another story ... all my receipts go there to die! icon_smile.gif

    my wallet is very organized.

i use a credit card holder that the concorde used to give out as part of its amenity kit back in the 90s, as my wallet.

it's small, holds everything i need it to hold (credit cards, cash, business card, insurance card, driver's lic) and fits in any pocket quite nicely

    negligible bulk

Almost all of that stuff can be scanned into secure storage on the iPhone. Maybe I'll do that some day.

Mine is messy - I keep receipts and stuff so I can claim back at the end of the month and I put all my cards into the two extra space behind the 2 rows of 3 cards slots cos I'm scared they may slip out. The amount of cash depends on the time of the month and how recently I've been to an ATM.

It's a grey leather leftover from an order of about a hundred or so that my stepdad bought when I was still in college (9 years ago)to give as gifts to clients. They start out quite light but as a result of handgrease from touching and stuff the grey darkens and becomes more attractive. lol.

I haven't bought one in ages, mostly cos I can't decide on one. Nice wallets are pricey and I don't wanna feel like I've wasted money that could have been better spent in 2 weeks...

Mine's organized down to the order of my cash. Ones in front, with the bills getting larger as they increase in value. My cards are sorted by most used in front to least used in back.
