I didn't go to school today, I'm still recovering from my sore throat. I bundled up like crazy and went to go get some pizza since I don't have the energy to go to the store and cook, yet when the time warp came on I had to dance along and sing haha The last time I saw this movie I think I was ten years old and went with my dad at a midnight showing. Now that I'm older I understand the sexual references and gay themes, like Dr. Frankenfurter and Rocky's gay wedding haha icon_lol.gif

I love that movie too! Man eating plants, count me in!! haha

The first time I saw The Rocky Horror Picture show, it was a midnight showing and only one other group of people was there. They threw rice during the wedding part and really got into it, its a fun movie play with.

Oh man... I absolutely LOVE this movie! I've done Franky a few times in drag shows here. It's a blast.

Sadly our midnight showings ended a year or so ago. The people stopped going after the cast moved away.

Funny in some areas, it's just as popular if not more so. I've seen it. More so during this part of the year. First time I got it on video at home though I fell asleep watching it. icon_razz.gif

I saw this movie for the first time when I was about 7. My mom is a HUGE fan. It has def become a cult thing with my sisters and I. I actually own the 25th anniversary edition with deleted scenes!

Back in the day in So Cal people went nuts at midnight screenings of Rocky Horror. The first and only time I went it was impossible to hear the dialogue because people were screaming at the screen through the entire film and all sorts of objects were constantly being thrown (our contribution was throwing toast). I enjoyed the first 45 minutes of the movie ... not so much the second half.

I've never lived in a big urban environment where they had a screening in a theatre. I first saw it on Tv when I was in grad school and I did get most of the gay themes, like the rainbow stripes of the tank in which Rocky was animated and the pink triangle on the chest of the doctor's surgical scrubs.

I know what it and Young Frankenstein every October as a Halloween tradition..

I watched a few times in a little historical theater in South Pasadena. It was fun. Started at 12am. People would dress up and sing. Just a fun thing to do.

Update. Looks like they still do it:
