Rush Limbaugh the hot air filled Oxycontin addict
is attempting to purchase the St Louis Rams

    http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/10/13/blogs/coopscorner/entry5380832.shtml

This after the fact that he was tossed off the air because of his "colorful" soliloquy about black players when he said ......

"I think what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well," he said, adding for good measure that McNabb (the black player he'd been talking about) got a lot of credit for the performance of the team "that he didn't deserve. The defense carried this team."

I say let him get the team and have the black players .... 65% of them in that league are black mutiny his ass

Anyone who has ever listened to Rush on a regular basis knows that he is no racist. I have listened to Rush long enough to see the glaring and contemptible spin, and outright lies, directed at him by the major media.

Any blogger can post whatever he wants....that doesn't make it true. I try to listen to all sides and then formulate my own opinion, rather than being spoon-fed someones diatribe.

Rush has always expressed a desire for ALL people to be the best that they can be, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.

    Here's 10 ..... that enough for ya????

    1. I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.

    2. You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.

    3. Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?

    4. Right. So you go into Darfur and you go into South Africa, you get rid of the white government there. You put sanctions on them. You stand behind Nelson Mandela — who was bankrolled by communists for a time, had the support of certain communist leaders. You go to Ethiopia. You do the same thing.

    5. Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.

    6. The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.

    7. They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?

    8. Take that bone out of your nose and call me back(to an African American female caller).

    9. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve.

    10. Limbaugh attacks on Obama. Limbaugh has called Obama a ‘halfrican American’ has said that Obama was not black but Arab because Kenya is an Arab region, even though Arabs are less than one percent of Kenya. Since mainstream America has become more accepting of African-Americans, Limbaugh has decided to play against its new racial fears, Arabs and Muslims. Despite the fact Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law school, Limbaugh has called him an ‘affirmative action candidate.’ Limbaugh even has repeatedly played a song on his radio show ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ using an antiquated Jim Crow era term for black a man who many Americans are supporting for president. Way to go Rush.

Now I understand your comment to the young black guy in the other post about having a chip on his shoulder.

What you have just said is pure crazy talk and your earlier comments take on different connotation

why would a "racist" guy want to get involved in an industry that has a majority of black men in it.. and paying them millions of dollars a year... would any true racist person want to help black people get millions of dollars? thats sort of a paradox..

and you're quotes are out of context so we cannot judge if they were racist or just satirical in nature without the full context... political correctness has gotten to too many people

You have to be kidding. Not only has he made racist comments, he's made enough to generate an entire top ten list! Sounds like someone's sipping the kool-aide.

I think his potential ownership should be blocked. I'm from Cincinnati, this world doesn't need another Marge Schott.

I challenge you to come up with one, just one documented comment that Rush has made that qualifies as a racist comment. And because you are probably a product of government schools, here is the real definition of racism:

Correct. The sale can only go through if enough owners agree to it, and the owner of the Indianapolis Colts (among others) has spoken out against it.

You're a little behind the times. In this Post-Americianism America, if you have the money, you can only buy it if the very vitirolic liberals in power say you can! Otherwise they just want to take the money you work for and redistribute it to the people it really belongs to ! How dare you and Rush Limbaugh think that you should be able to do what you want with the money you work for! Not the same america I put my life on the line for!

All you have to do is google his top 10 and you can read for yourself but GQ has supplied it for you. If by anychance you think that telling a blk caller to remove the bone frm her nose is not racist what is it? I can't really expect you to take a moment to think outside of your mirco-cosim of a life, hell most of us never do but, As a gay man who faces similar challenges of opression and self destructive behavior (perhaps) The disconnect is astounding!

    Filmhottie-

You are absolutely correct. Rush has the right to put fourth all efforts that he has to be part owner of the Rams. That is what America is all about!

Here's the thing you poor delusional child. The NFL is privately own by a bunch of "Good Old Boys" who do not want that crack pot in their "boys club". They have the right to just SAY NO! That they have.

This is a case of Rush's words coming back to bite him!

    Reality check!

You're way behind on this. There's been a extenbsive research into the top ten quotes atttributed to him and most of them have already been disproved. And the source for most of the quotes has been traced back to a Wikipedia article and , well we all know how nothing in there could ever be wrong ! I don't exactlyt like the guy, but if you can't produce real soundbites of the quotes, and they were all supposed to have been said on the record, then It's all bull shit. You don't have to agree with his views, but to use lies to attack someone is still kinda low. But then the Towana Brawly and Duke Lacrosse Hoaxes helped propell Al Sharpton into a position of credibility.

Why don't you ask McNabb how he feels about Rush. He practically called that football franchise and Affirmative Action program for McNabb! I know you heard that sound bite!

    Shy-

Here is another comment that your esteem hero made.

"On the August 23 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program, Rush Limbaugh suggested that the competition in a new season of CBS' reality TV program Survivor, in which contestants are reportedly divided into competing "tribes" by ethnicity, "is not going to be fair if there's a lot of water events." In support of this assertion, he cited a March 2 HealthDay article reporting that "young blacks -- especially males -- are much more likely to drown in pools than whites."

I was on my swim team in hs and was there an African American of the US swim team relay. That won Gold in China.

I don't need to find 10 these two would do just fine.

I don't care if he's a bigot or not he does not have an effect on my life to say that he isn't is just silly. I know he don't have much love for us gays!
