Hey All,

I was just hoping for some feedback on a recent estimate I obtained about my caloric intake. I'm 6'5" and 225lbs, and looking to shed a couple pounds of excess fat, though it's not a terribly large amount. I just started using www.dailyburn.com, and according to their estimates, I should be taking in about 2,800 calories a day in order to lose weight. Does that sound right to anybody? I always estimated about a 1,000 calories fewer than that for myself, but I'm no expert.

thoughts?

This completely depends on what exercises you are doing, how long, and how often.

One of the forums on this site mentioned calculating your BMR and then going from there.

This link was very helpful. You can calculate your BMR, and then multiply that by a factor that represents your activity level, then it even helps with calculating calories.
