I've never found an adequate definition of the phrase "sexual contact"? Is it context sensitive (i.e. can the same physical contact be considered sexual or non-sexual depending on the mindset of the person(s) involved)? If so, what are some examples? Does any/every form of foreplay constitute sexual contact?

How would each of these examples be classified within the context of the blood donation exclusion:

You are prohibited from donating blood to the blood bank if you..."are a male who has had sexual contact with another male, even once, since 1977".

    You know what?
That definition is offensive and goes to show you how absolutely bigoted this country still is in everyway

Everytime I see one of those trucks with a nurse outside the movie theater I make sure to say yes
...and they bring me in so happy that they have a volunteer
    then I say
    Oops...I just remembered I'm a homosexual
and I guess you won't be needing my blood afterall

Well it's no great mystery, what they're getting at is direct exchange of body fluids. Orifice to orifice contact. It's one of the disease transmission pathways defined in any microbiology textbook.

So, if I have sex with three guys I am too high a risk to donate blood.

If a woman has sex with 20 men she is good to go.
