GOP NJ gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie has vowed if elected governor of New Jersey in November that he will work to block legalizing gay marriage in the state, even amending New Jersey's state constitution to do so.

    Keep eating you fat bastard!

NJ, really? I would be more shocked if he got elected and succeeded at amending the constitution than I was when California passed Prop 8.

This fatso should be winning in a cakewalk, but he has run such a lousy campaign. Odds are he loses. NJ is a Democrtatic state, and an independent canddiate is sucking off Republican support as well.

Great federal prosecutor; shitty candidate. And it's too bad because I think it was supposed to be the Republicans' turn to fuck up New jersey even more. The Democrats had their 8 years of mismanagement and corruption, following 8 years of GOP fuck-ups in the '90s.

There's a part of me that feels that if not for McGreevy, this guy would have nothing to stand on.

McGreevy - the "proud, gay American" almost set us back twenty years in the eyes of mainstream America. We need more gay guys (and women) who can show the world more examples of us as regular, honest, people who can keep our noses clean. As for the fat guy hoping to be governor of NJ - - - let's just hope he loses - big time.

Unfortunately, he stands a good chance at winning. His strategy is based on fear mongering and the complacency of the constituency. Traditional republican tactics in an election. Corzine has to unfortunately strike on the same level to come on top. He may pull it off but not by much.

Fatso (wrong of me), is also in denial on the girth issue and how it taxes the health care system with all the related medical problems it creates. Maybe Mcdonalds is a big contributor. LOL

I live in north west Jersey (Extreme western morris country) and went to high school in Sussex county. Now I'm going to school in Delaware (we get Philly's local TV channels, which also cover south Jersey) and I think and am almost certain that the fat ass will win the Morris, Sussex and Warren County areas. They mostly vote republican blindly up there from what I know. Jersey is normally a blue state but I'm not so sure this election. But I really do hate both side's ads and would rather the rich guy win over the fat ass...(not naming any names lol)

I beg to differ with all you guys....I lived in Jersey my whole life....Under the current regime our taxes have gone up 60% in the last three years. We have the hightest taxes in the Nation & the highest insurance rates. I think we(NJ) needs a change. I could care less how fat he is, as long as he cuts taxes & spending!!!

The reference to his size is a bit uncalled for. If there's a 500lb liberal out there, who's willing to get things done, I'm votin' for him.

Lets not stoop to their levels of civil discourse. How about just "this fuck"?

Granted we are in favor of gay marriage. However, at a time when the economy is down the tubes, gay marriage is probably low on the priority list of many straight voters. He is grasping for votes.

Wow all the fat this and that makes you guys sound pretty nasty. He'll probably win because people aren't too happy with how Democrats are behaving. The economy is more important than "gay marriage". If he's got what it takes to fix the economy then great. I don't care what party someone is, just do what needs to be done to fix the things that are broken. If he wins he better do a good job because Republicans haven't been doing what needs to be done either.

Well, he appears to be getting a vote from at least 1 gay guy, Mikeylikesit above. Based on the usual Republican bait of reducing taxes.

I was born & raised in NJ, but fortunately escaped in my 20s. My cousin's husband was the State Senator from Morris County where Mikeylikesit is, I know that area pretty well, and they will vote straight Republican as usual (double entendre intended on the word "straight"). Disillusioning that some ill-informed, easily deceived gays will be voting with them, too. icon_sad.gif

NJ is a success story. It's been kept from the clutches of those evil Republicans for the past few years.

Taxes up 60% in the last three years? Listen, so long as the tax increases were put in place by Democrats, then stop complaining, because it is all for a very good reason. The Democrats wouldn't do anything to hurt the people whom they govern. The Democrats are very well intentioned and, dare I say it, intellectually superior to the Republicans.
I really hope you are being sarcastic.

southbeach1500 saidWhat has happened in NJ is what so many of the guys on here support. The politicians and political party that most of the guys on here support is for bigger government, which in turn requires higher taxes. And this approach is far superior to what the opposition party proposes, which is lower taxes and smaller government.

    Your sarcasm is funny.

    Can I try?

Liberals like me will vote for anyone no matter how corrupt and inept they are because all that matters is that I get the ONE ISSUE I really care about mentioned on the Rachel Maddow show.

Liberals like me MUCH prefer the rapacious, nepotistic, corrupt Democrats over the kind, trusting, trustworthy, fair & balanced, looking-out-for-the-little-guy, aw-shucks, not-over-educated, invisible-hand kissing Republicans that you vote for.

Liberals like me aren't angry at you for over-generalizing and starting slap fights with the straw men you cobble together; we're jealous of your superior sense of humor.

    Cute, but unoriginal.

Honestly, have you ever voted for a Republican?

Hey, I admit it. You are WAY funnier. I'm sure you're a riot at b'nai mitzvah.

And, voting Republican? What kind of question is that...to demonstrate whether I'm fair or balanced?

Boy, a lot of fat jokes. You guys must be taking a page out of the Corzine play book.
