Is A Cold Winter Tolerable If Your In A Relationship?

I was just chatting with a handsome RJer a moment ago and we were discussing how great Fall can be. I wrote that I hate Winter. He suggested I would like it if I had someone to cuddle with. I really had to think about it, but yeah I think a cold winter would actually be tolerable if I was living with a S.O.(significant other). If you live in a cold 4 season climate, how do you feel about winter and would being in a relationship make you think differently?

love winter, snowboarding is just one of the best things to do. Nothing like a winter wonderland and a nice crackling fire!

Personally, I dont think so, but i love winter anyways...but isnt life always better with someone to spend it with? I think people just think that winter is so intolerable because its so "lifeless"...

If a guy really loved me, he could find a way to make the sun shine over my house year round.

Winter rocks! icon_smile.gif. Having someone to cuddle with is definitely the icing on the cake but I love winter, single or not. Ski hard!

+1 on Fall and Winter. Love the colors changing, starting a fire, getting into bed early with my s/o.

I have no problem with Winter. (I grew up in Chicago.) It's a season just like any other. Like OCN8, I love to snowboarding so you realize how quickly Winter does really does fly by. Like Winter runs too - they're meditative - it's just you and white covered world. With climate change, the next generation might not have the same Winter that we have, which would be a shame.

Find a Winter activity rather than wishing for a relationship to take you away from it...

Cool....I don't get out much. Although, it looks like Lake Tahoe gets over 300 days a year of sun and Cleveland is lucky to get over a hundred, maybe that's why I'm down on winter.

    Well a couple of things...

What you are talking about is having a good relationship in a cold environment... not the "winter" of a relationship...

I'm sure there are guys here would think Kansas is cold, but there are many places worse. I deal with a company with headquarters in Minot, ND and I can't believe how cold it is.

If I were single and fell in love with a guy from North Dakota... it would take some coaxing... but never say never.

All relationships have seasons.. even a "winter" where perhaps things aren't as good as they could be... just hang in there and work on it.. spring is just right around the corner.

I realize the above wasn't what you were talking about Celtic... but just thought I'd throw it in anyway.

What is this "winter" thing y'all are talking about? Is that when you turn the A/C off?

I love the Fall and Winter, and even think it may be the most romantic time of the year. A lot of togetherness in Winter on long cold nights, but also the warm glow of spending the holidays with someone you love and care about. I would love to spend the winter cuddling with someone. icon_smile.gif

No. Cold weather is terrible and repeated exposure will make you straight.

    Move to Palm Springs.

truely... seasons don't do anything for me. Nothing effects my relationship well I take that back. Summer. I loath summer! Not only cause its hot as fcuk but cause my guy will dissapear for a while cause he is spending time with his cousins whom are out on break from school and yeah... the fuck up everything that he had I spend the year building up... Then fall comes and he comes back realizing "SHIT! I FUCKED UP WITH THE ONE PERSON THAT IS ALWAYS THERE WHEN I NEED THEM" This year took the cake when he decided that after 4yrs he wanted to end it. E tells me that they didnt talk him in to it... little does he know that the cousins whom know me and all Ive done for him for him told me the truth. I was out the door moving on with my life when he calls me up and tells me how much he knows he fucked up and how he is not just saying he will be better but he knows he has to be or else. I have always loved Fall the most out of all the seasons even before this. I think its cause Im an Oct. baby (my B'day was on the 20th). You can imagine what my Bday wish was.

This may sound odd, but when winter come around I see a lot of couple around me break up. It's just either pure circumstance or winter is the time for things to stop flourishing, including relationships.

    Hibernation time? lol

But that's just something that I've seen- my perspective on it.

And having somone to snuggle up with would be nice during the winter to have.
