So I'm ready to start running.

anyone else doing it this year too?

Can't wait to see the hot men. Too bad I won't be seeing them from behind icon_wink.gif

Oh man! I forgot that is Saturday. My friends' new band is playing that day. I'm gonna have to do my run in the morning which means no going out tonight (Friday night). icon_cry.gif

Yeah, I'm doing the one in LA. And its at midnight on Friday night, which is weird. I'm not even a runner and I haven't trained at all (doing the 5k) but I stumbled on it when I saw that entering the race gives you free access to a tailgate party before the USC football game on Saturday and there are going to be live DJs, a couple of which I've wanted to hear bang their beats for some time now. Plus, the race overall should be an interesting spectacle. I'm in good enough condition to run 3 miles from an endurance perspective, I just hope my body holds up.

You talking about tomorrow's 10k, or nike + racing in general?

I want to do that 10k, but literally just this morning, I bent over in shower to wash my feet and something "snapped" in my back, and now I can hardly bend or walk. I think it's thrown out, doubt I'll be able to run tomorrow.

Nevertheless, I think in addition to participating in the 10k, we could get a decent challenge going amongst RJ members. Most miles run in a month? It's easy to set up the challenges, but you do need the email addresses (not screen names) of everyone wanting to participate.

    I meant the 10 K.
I finished it in 51 min 22 sec
Not bad, considering I didn't have the chance to run 2 weeks before the race
