A question for guys who are usually clean shaven. Every once in a while, its nice to go without shaving. It gives you more of an "edge" look, and some guys love to feel the hair stuble on an unshaven man.(just go easy when you kiss).

How long can you go without shaving before you start to look like a homeless person? For me, it looks great for two days. After that, I begin to look like a crazy person who is on the down and out.

I don't grow beard so quickly, thus can easily go for a week without shaving. Even usually I shave only 2-3 times a week.

I don't like to consider myself a bear or anything, but I do really like stubble or some kind of facial hair on most men. The homeless look is haut!

Man, i would love to go without shaving and show off my stuble but, my job has been known to call at a moments notice.. So i have to be well groomed always just in case..
My boss called me the other night at 1:45am to assist the overnight crew for an incoming VIP guest, so i had to get my ass out of bed and taxi it to the job..So letting my beard stuble grow is only something i can do on vacation, what ever that is...lol

Well I can let mine go for a week and it doesn't look to bad. A few days and it looks like some pretty good stubble. I'd keep that look if I could. But i've let it go for 2 weeks before and I look like i'm ready to hit the streets of philadelphia.
I don't have a pic of it in my profile but I do have one. Maybe I'll add it.

theantijock saidIt's 5 o'clock 24/7 on my face. Don't use a blade; just buzz cut it. I don't care if someone thinks I look homeless. My friends have long since tired of asking if I'm growing a beard.

Reciprocally, I don't care to see past someone else judging me by my stubble.

Be a god damn man and show your f*ckin face.

This may sound weird, but I dated a guy and his stuble made the kiss more sensual. I don't know what it was about it. Hmm

No one is every gonna be perfectly shaven. Normally I would say I like a guy to be clean shaven but some guys look really really hot with a 5 o'clock shadow going on. Even I think I look good with it depending on what Im wearing or how I'm feeling.

I'm in the same boat & I totally agree here. I shave for interviews &/or trim my beard if required (I am regrowing it now as a matter of fact after my last interview with AMEX. icon_razz.gif lol). My boss is a brilliant guy & am awesome friend whom cares more about the quality of my work/Customer Service & Training skills than my look (which is how it shuld be IMHO); although I obviously have to maintain a neat/tidy appearance, so I clipper my beard once every week or so.

My B/F just got back from holidays in NYC with a beard & his 'sexiness' factor shot through the roof when I saw him with a beard (he normally has to be clean-shaven for his job, as it's extremely high-brow/Corporate). icon_biggrin.gif I want to rip his clothes off & do him right then & there (moreso than normal!). icon_twisted.gif

i have a perpetual 5 oclock shadow. The only time I really get a close shave is when I go to the barber and he has to use multiple blades to get a good shave on me.

It is a pain in the ass (no pun)

I go back & forth between babyface and beardo, but I haven't got a very impressive 5-o-clock shadow. My Dad did; he used to shave twice a day.

oOoOoOo... hah I think there is a line from South Park that is appropriate here. "... oooo someone is sleeping with mommy tonight!" icon_twisted.gif

My facial hair comes in quickly and thick. I use a straight razor every morning for the closest shave possible.

If I have no reason to shave, I give my day the face off......today for instance. Tomorrow, it's razor time.

I haven't used a blade to shave since June. I get awful ingrown hairs, razor burn, and acne when I shave, so unless I have a really good reason, it's just the shortest setting on the clippers for me. Plus I feel like I look 10 years younger when I shave (yeah, I look 12), so I don't mind feeling like I look a little more my age when I have stubble.

I am relatively lucky in that my beard comes in a strawberry blond and is more blond than strawberry! I can go about 2 days between shaves, before the complaints and smart ass comments start at work and at home....I grew an actual beard ONCE...god it itched and drove me crazy. It wa very full and course, just a very light strawberry blond...it added too much "bulk " to my appearance...so not anytime soon!

Maybe we should have a beard growing contest on RJ....Take a clean start pic and post it, and then everyday for 2 weeks, post an updated new growth pic.....end of 2 weeks have a straw poll thread to vote on the winner!.....LOL! icon_lol.gif

I dig stubble on a guy's face. Sometimes I don't even mind getting whisker burned when kissing passionately. I wish more guys liked the unshaven look. It makes them look more masculine.icon_biggrin.gif

One day for me, then it's the homeless OLD guy. It is a great look, but if I'm kissing a man who needs a shave, I get seriously bad face burn.

For me, it never looks great. I think it has to be on a guy with an angular face and very dark hair, for it to look good. I've got the angular face...
