i am somewhat new to bottoming; always considered myself a top but my current bf had other ideas..

at first he had to loosen me up with lots of rimming, slow, gentle single then double then tripple finger insertion before he could painlessly enter me.

of course we use LOTS of lube.

even with all of the above, there was an occassional time when he would have to pause after the intial entry and wait for me to become accustomed to him being there.

it's been about a year and a half of increasing closeness and awesome sex. we/I are geting to the point that rimming and double/tripple fingering is not needed before he can painlessly slide into me.

so...my question for you experienced bottoms...will we get to a time when all that lube is not needed for painless entry/painless sex?

is "spit & steady pressure" really an eventual option?

Not unless you enjoy having your rectum torn... but hey, to each their own.

I use lube all the time, makes it much more pleasurable for all involved.

Spit is lube. It isn't particularly good lube. Why not save your ass some tearing and just use quality lube.

Why? What is the issue? Maybe you are using too much lube. Maybe you aren't using the right kind of lube. Tell us what is going on so we can help out.

Not sure, mch, if you feel the amount of lube you're using is excessive, too messy, too expensive or if you're just curious because it seems like a lot.

While some of us might come to get used to or even like a certain degree of pain during the experience, I'm going to say that you should just keep using as much lube as you need to make the sex enjoyable for both of you. You might experiment with less, as you wrote - though keep it in hand's reach in case you need more - or you might try other lubes that might work better for you. I'm sure we all have our favorites.

In the end, the cost of the lube is well worth it for getting a good f*ck. I hope we can all agree on that! :-)

Silicon based lubes are amazing. A little bit will go a long way, so it isn't quite as sloppy.

i find when my boy rims me, he pushes spit up there and that helps alot

Yes spit is an option. You just have to be ready. I got a bf that always wants to use lube and I tell him to use spit and he say yuk!. Oh well!. I really prefer very little lube. It gives me the fricktion i love.

Even though I love to rim and enjoy a good rim job as well, I still like to use a quality Lube when fucking a guy. Silicone is pretty amazing stuff but you have to find the brand that is condom safe. If not.. I like the to use WET as a decent lube since it's water based. Spit is fun for rimming and fingering,, but sliding lots of length and girth up an ass needs a bit of help along the way to heaven.
