I dont usually condone attacks on little children..as i think thats just bullying..but in cases like these...i say go ahead and teach them a lesson. I am only sorry that the mother didnt get some of it too..When i went out partying with my boys i would carry one.....there is nothing feminine about carrying a can..they are pretty cheap and effective. Leave gay people alone.

One of those kids sounded asthmatic, coughing near the beginning of the vid.

We think you should read this, from the Civilian Complaint Review Board NYC Government:

    http://www.nyc.gov/html/ccrb/pdf/pepperreport.pdf

"The Patrol Guide prohibits the use of pepper spray against subjects who passively resist
(e.g., going limp, offering no active physical resistance). It further cautions that if possible,
pepper spray should not be used against persons who appear to be in frail health, young children,
women believed to be pregnant, or persons with known respiratory conditions.

In situations where pepper spray is used, the Patrol Guide stipulates several guidelines to
ensure the safety of the subject. Officers are required to request the response of the Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) once the situation is under control. If tactically feasible, according to
the Patrol Guide, the subject should be removed from the contaminated area and exposed to fresh
air while awaiting the arrival of EMS or transportation to a hospital or station house. The Patrol
Guide warns that the subject should be positioned on his/her side or in a sitting position to
promote free breathing and that he/she should “never be maintained or transported in a face
down position.” Additionally, officers should not sit, stand, or kneel on a subject’s chest or
back. If water is readily available, officers should flush the contaminated skin area of a subject
with profuse amounts of water. Lastly, officers are reminded that subjects should be transported
to the emergency room of the nearest hospital if he or she is “demonstrating difficulty breathing,
or exhibiting signs of severe stress, hyperventilation, etc
    .”9
Upon the subject’s arrival at the station house, desk officers are responsible for ensuring
that prisoners who have been pepper-sprayed are properly monitored. A Command Log entry is
to be made stating whether the prisoner has had his/her skin flushed with water, been examined
by EMS, or been transported to the hospital."

...the hooker could have changed cars or used that built in function; ignore.

ok guys i read what your research said...but heres where i have disagreements. the above guidelines are for police personnel. There is nothing mentioned in those lines in reference to civilian use of mace. Further more...i believe that everyone should mine their fucking business. These three were the aggressors mind you, and i am sure that child will never ever past his place the next time he sees someone that looks different. I read your last comments about ignoring or going into the next cart. Point taken..but then again what if she goes into the next cart and some other asshole starts to disrespect her? I believe that you should be the one to draw the line. This individual's actions were justifiable and i dont believe that one should ignore...hateful comments geared towards yourself from idiots. Stand up for yourself and this is what the person did. I bet you that kid wont make the mistake and mouth off again.

Hey tereseus1, "the above guidelines are for police personnel. There is nothing mentioned in those lines in reference to civilian use of mace."

The point is it doesn't matter whether the person spraying the stuff is civilian or an officer. The point here is that mace can have dangerous side effects, and the use of mace in this case is entirely inappopriate, and the outcome horrible is one of those kids collapsed unable to breathe, or the mother (if she'd been sprayed) was pregnant.

You fight words with words, or with ignoring - you don't escalate it into physical retaliation.

She was not pregnant, she was fat? X-ray vision, you have? The kid had been coughing earlier.

Think, man! You think the answer to a verbal insult is a physical assault?

being a victim of a hate crime..yes....have to protect yourself...even if your aggressor verbally insults you....so if you disagree..go ahead..but i feel otherwise. Like it does nothing to just sit back and take the abuse. Stand up for yourself sends a clear message...send that message you wont be taken for a passive individual. Like i have a strong belief that no one should sit back and be disrespected, its a sign of weakness. It is like in the time of the civil rights era, being taunted constantly for your ethnicity on the bus, in school.....if people did not stand up for themselves and fight physically, this country would not have changed. This is where i agree with Malcolm X. It takes a physical fight to send the right message.

D'oh! the kids were making fun of the hooker, saying she was fat, (and they're fat too)! Please explain how this is a hate crime.

First of all..we don't know if the person was a hooker... he/she could be going out to the club....and secondly it was a transsexual. And i dont know if you have ever taken the subway before//i do daily..but whenever a transgendered individual walks on..there is always jeers, snickers and rude comments directed at them..especially here in nyc....so if you have never seen how hard it is for them ( as yes they have it ten times harder than a normal gay individual)...then i dont think you should be commenting on the subject..as you didnt even know it was a transexual.

...oh for Pete's sake....look at the title on the vid you presented.

    'crackhead hooker maces kids.'

First, you could have explained in your op with saying she's a transexual ( and how do you know that, by the way?)

... and second, did the kids say anything hate based? Like she's a transexual and should die?

move to New York city....i believe you would see it differently...and as for the name of the video.....they dont know the occupational position of this person..they were just going by how the individual looked and dress.I use to volunteer at a homeless shelter and let me tell you...crackheads dont look that thick and muscular......so that claim is automatically out the door.icon_rolleyes.gif i believe in having/showing respect for your elders....and this kid clearly had none and he deserved his punishment....this is why the standards of American youth are going down hill as there is no structure or boundaries on how to discipline them. Believe it or not but this stranger did what the mother in the video failed to do, correct his attitude.....there is no way in hell i could behave like this as a child if i was on the bus with my mom.....and yes bus as subways are not in jamaica.

bus or more commonly robot. (those little vans that run all over the island)

You gave us an interesting vision of the mother macing her own kids. That wouldn't work either, you know.

Thats a bit much. Taught him a lesson? Yes. Was it necessary to use mase? No.

I've seen how mean people are to trannies. Everywhere they go, they are met with ridicule and threats of violence against them. People do it all the time in the subways here as well. But using mase on a child is not cool in my book.

We all poke fun at other peoples expense. Maybe they have a terrible haircut or the way they dress is terrible (much like the tranny in this video) but seriously keep it to yourself or whisper it to your friends if you're going to do that. I don't know what it is but sometimes people feel its ok to just ridicule complete strangers out loud and in public. This mom and her kids obviously were teasing her a bit much in order for them to get into such an argument. No need for adults to act like small children but theres no need to punish a child, thats not even your own, with mase.

    I agree 100%!!!!!

It's always better if you line up about a dozen of them and just empty a few cans on them.

Wow... tereseus1 I have to disagree 100%. No verbal abuse condones a physical attack, ESPECIALLY when it is against a child. One of the two was an adult and should have acted like one. Kids are stupid, thats no secret, she needed to just ignore them.

Using mace was definitely extreme... but mouthing off to that tranny was NOT smart whether she had mace or not. It was just stupid, stupid behavior.

It's like picking up a feral cat and then getting mad at the cat when it scratches and bites you. When you piss someone off you can't be mad when they retaliate.

I think a good solid back hand would have been MUCH more appropriate, the screaming in that video is horrifying. That kid learned a hard lesson in a very ugly way.

Hmmm...shaky camera and crazy shots? Hysterics, screaming, and profanity? Kids crying in the corner? Rampant stupidity? If there was a close-up snot-shot, I'd say it was a scene from Blair Witch 3: Urban Bitches.

Three thumbs way up and an academy award for this flick, cuz everybody kinda got what they deserved.

Here's a simple rule that most people should live by..

-- Mind your own fuckin business. --

Only you can prevent getting maced by an angry tranny.
