Whats the straightest thing you have done this week? A topic for me gay brothers and not our bisexual cousins as they are part straight anyway.

Just to name one. I finished digging a drench that is about 24 ft long, and up to 5ft deep. I've been digging in to rock and clay, with nothing more than a shovel, and crow bar. Now I have too fill the fucker.

Assigning straight versus gay functional tasks to people is falling into the worst stereotypes that plague gays.

It was this very fallacy that enforced my own denial mechanism for too long. I had always done, and continue to do, so-called male, masculine, macho and manly things.

But I'm totally, thoroughly, technically and thankfully gay. That disconnect was my undoing, because I was raised on the stereotypes you cite. If I did straight things, I couldn't be gay, right? If I didn't do the expected gay things, that made me straight, correct?

WRONG! But congrats on your straight trench (or did it curve?). I know any number of gay men who perform tough, rugged, and even heroic tasks every day. Gay men are so much more than our stereotypes, even if we ourselves like to have fun with them.

What's the straightest thing I did this week? Maybe reply to your thread.

I do thank you for your input, and no it was an extremely straight trench, made by a pure homosexual, a poofter.

But one is not responsible for you past issues, or your issues of today, it seems to me you are still in denial. Maybe it's because I was blessed too grow up in a more progressive country than you concerning sexuality, and I have never been in hiding, or living a lie, but I have never thought all gay men were flamers, and decided at a young age I did not won't to grow up to be one; a flamer. Albeit I'm a pure homosexual who appears too be straight, but thats just me, and no acting involved.

But as a pure homosexual, forgive me for not recognising, a man who has had a wife, in the past, and just because you now have a boyfriend as being gay, because a gay man would never have a wife it's just not in us to do so. We don't hide behind women, because we don't have the balls to come out.

No we take the persecution, that can come with being a pure homosexual, and out. I myself never waited until it was safe to come out, I was out there fighting for people like you who were in hiding, and for my gay brothers in the police force and such, to have homosexuality decimalize, and taken off the mental health list. Now police in my state can be homosexual, and out, and keep their job., and not be dismissed for having mental health issues, just because they are a homosexual. This is what I was doing at 21 (still a kid) and not some middle aged man who had most of his life behind him, when he come out.

Anyhow this is way off topic, as this thread was created for me gay brothers and not bisexuals in denial.

PS, note RJ is for both Gay and Bisexual "men". I am one of the homosexuals here, and you are one of the bisexuals, who now has a boyfriend just as when you had a wife, you were still a bisexual, and not straight.

May you find peace in your soul.

In two weeks I will be back in the bush to spend the weekend with my bisexual birth brother, who is also a breeder, and I'm sure we will end up going to the bikie club for a few beers, but he will be sitting there as a straight man, and I will be sitting there as a poofter, in a Hells Angels club room, and once agin I may well be the only poof there.

just changed the oil in me Ute, and rotated all the tires, and I did not wear gloves, so now I have oil under me nails, and on me hands. But I must admit I was listening to classical music while doing it, I have "Flowers Duet" playing now, and Air on a G string is about too play; just love em, is that gay of me, or normal?

You are so full of sh** it is absolutely amazing. You and this "pure homosexual" crap would be laughable, if it wasn't so pathetic. icon_razz.gif

hmm. lately, i've used power tools, done some woodwork and drywall work, hauled some rock and dirt, electrical and plumbing. i installed some duct work in the attic and altered the roofing interface, i ripped up some lumber lattice. i've worked under the hood on our vehicles, mowed the yards, lifted some heavy gear and...

not a damn thing i did was straight. you can even look at the lines i drew with the equipment under a microscope and see that the graphite pencil makes a horribly rough edge at 400x magnification. what's more, the table saw blade actually does rip cut wood even with a high pitch blade on it! don't believe me? look at the fracking cut with a magnifying glass!

dammit all to hell, this stuff is defective! icon_evil.gif

Pattison, this topic has been done before, but not as flammable. You and I might think pure homosexuality is valuable, but it's still kind of tainted or you wouldn't be asking the question, "what is the straightest thing you did today?" Seeing as GAY is entirely what we are and partially what we do, I think the question is unimportant. Upon reading the title, I thought it might get hot and someone has already kicked it into high gear. What ever happens, "you'll always be my patti cake," but I still must warn other members.

I tend to agree, but I'll play along. I installed a half bath in my basement by myself. Built the walls around it and everything. Not bad for a big ol' sissy...

Now you see that could could go either way

....when you were done, did you fill up the tub, light up some aromatherapy candles and scatter some rose petals before dropping your silk dressing gown to the floor and settling in to watch thema and louise and eat chocolate ice cream before flipping your wrist and exclaiming with a lisp that you can never get the complimenting scents just right icon_wink.gif

A bunch of months back, someone created a thread called "What's the Gayest Things You've Done Today" or something along those lines. It was a silly, inane thread that poked fun at conventions of masculinity and stereotype, just like this one. Yet for some reason, guys are pissing all over this one. Huh.

And the straightest thing I did today? I farted so hard in bed this morning I had to jump up and check my undies. It was really, really hetero of me. All straightie points flew out the window when I realized I was wearing gay little Aussiebums, though. So now I'm back to gender-neutral and sexually ambiguous.

Half bath, half bath! There is no tub, otherwise I would totally have done all those things. Besides, if I had had to put in a tub I wouldn't have finished in a weekend...

The straightest thing I did this week is that I drew a line along a 12" ruler on a sheet of paper.

    I.

    AM.

    MAN!
