I had to put my little Benjamin to sleep this summer... and so many of you had SO many kind things to say. Well, this little guy is 7 miles from me and looking for a home. What do you think?

He's so adorable. I was about to ask you if you would consider getting another dog. I'm glad you decided to.

Go for it. I did the same when my faithful chow of 14 years died 3 months ago. Right away I rescued another good dog. I never saw a more grateful addition to a home than a rescue dog (pictures included in my profile). Every dog needs a warm place he can call "home". This helped me with the grieving process as well! Good luck!

Go get the flipin' puppy dude. I'd be lost w/o my Labs and have met and adored several "weenier dogs" of friends and enjoyed their company. They are terribly loyal. That little f'er is quite cute.

Dan, he looks adorable (a dachshund made from spare parts!). He would be very lucky to have you as his owner and I'm sure you'll love looking after him. I'm glad to see that you feel ready to take the plunge with another dog. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any training questions, etc with the new addition. Now, go get 'em !

I had a doxie just like this when I lived in L.A. years ago...his name was "Murphy". One of the best dogs EVER and I will never forget him. Go for it, you will never regret it.

If you haven't had this type of dog before( I missed the Benjamin thread so I apologize if he was a doxie) make sure you read about the breed before you buy. Some are diggers, some are good apartment dogs, some require tons of exercise.

Get the right type of dog for you, don't just base it on those cute brown eyes and droopy ears. But if a doxie works for your lifestyle, go get him!

Go for it. We can all use a buddy. Mine has been getting me though a rough time with my BF. Kael'thas is E and mine's love child. I know every time I see the two of them playing around its like before and its crazy but Kael will do this thing where he will jump up on E's leg and beg for attention and as we both are about to reach to pet him its like he kicks up his nose pushing our hands together... we finally ended up holding hands and having a little kiss and kael' barked at us with that little bark that E and I have learned to recognize as him "see stupids" bark. E picked out Kael from the litter and helped me come up with his name (Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider of the Backyard) since we both play World of Warcraft and have basically only Blood Elfs. We figured why not have a BE Character name for our (even if technically mine) puppy. It was E that spotted the sign "Beagle Puppies For Sale" on the side of the road and me yelling "STOP!" I really can't wait for the day when all 3 of us can be a family again.
